Before Today I though Ron Paul was Nuts Now I think He is the only choice for President

Posted on 12/24/2007 10:39:05 AM PST by Reform Canada

I saw the interviews with Ron Paul on Glen Beck and Meet the Press and found myself agreeing with much of what he said. He referred to a movie called Freedom to Fascism so I decided to watch. I am a very skeptical person yet I am now convinced. For the sake of your future and the future of your family watch this movie and decide for yourself.

As in, they’re both “passionate” about what they think and believe? Then, emotion takes hold and they’re off?

"just when he starts to seem rational"

Yeah, I actually agreed with a couple of things he said.

But then the rest was so freaking loony that it gives loons a bad name.

But I guess it's fair to say that "Before today I thought that Ron Paul might be nuts. Now I know he's nuts".

Well, not really, I knew before today but still it's kinda catchy.

Are you one of those who said illegal immigration will never be an election issue too?

I question if it is really that big of an issue. Certainly if it were, one would expect to see the man at forefront of the issue for 20 years and, incidentally, the only candidate who has done anything to secure our borders; Claiming the catbird seat, where he rightfully belongs and not relegated to the backseat. Perhaps they trust the words and position papers of these politicians will secure our borders and halt illegal immigration? I don't trust these cats that just hopped on the train to get me to the station. I am going to pick the engineer to get that job done.

Much like Global Warmers most you people choose either to attack me personally or declare that Paul is nuts and declare that the debate is over. Paul is fighting the IRS so please if any one of you can point to legislation that is supported by the Supreme Court that makes submitting a federal income tax claim mandatory please do so.

Nice movie, but I’m still not voting for Ron Paul. The movie has elements of truth, as do the best propaganda movies. Truth selected, truth omitted, and some tendentious conclusions, and you can come to any conclusion you like.

If Ron Paul were an effective President (effective isolationist), Islamists and communists would have a field day enslaving peaceful people. But Ron Paul would not be effective. Attempts to defend PBS, the Department of Education, the EPA, and social security would have him impeached, or cowed, less than a year into his term. There is no way Ron Paul will become President. But he could easily give the election to Hilary Clinton. Ron Paul, Hilary Clinton, Freedom to Fascism.

Agree. I’m having 15 or so guests over tomorrow. I’ll be showing this video to a few friends.

I haven’t seen anyone show the law yet. The film shows a number of officials refusing to do so, when it ought to take them two minutes to pull it up on their computers. Why don’t they show the law and cause all these anti-income-tax agitators to collapse in defeat?

Needs to be repeated and bolded!
There is a lot of things Paul says that I like, but his stand on WOT is a deal breaker.

Correct..

He’s right on concerning a subject, then all of a sudden he takes off down a crazy side road and you forget all about the sense he was making..same with ronpaul.

I haven’t seen anyone show the basic law that the film is asking for. Calling the tax-resisters “nuts” is all well and good. Anyone who produces the law could cause the movement to disappear. Why doesn’t anyone do it?

Your broadcast post with an IRS challenge doesn’t make you right. Yes, there were a number of attack posts; but you still ignored the valid ones.

Anybody with a functioning brain knows this country is in deep trouble, unfortunately, Ron Paul is not the answer.

Paul's political answers do not address the issues in a way that can be realized without destroying our economy, security and future.

I’m fine with somebody supporting Ron Paul for whatever their own unexplainable reasons are. As long as you don’t join the zombies who spam every single forum, blog and newssite on the internet with GO RON PAUL!!!!

LOL. Yep, this is one crazy election and I certainly can’t imagine what the electorate is thinking. Honestly, when I imagine them their heads are stuck up in a place that is not, ordinarily, conducive to thinking :)

I agree, but like every other gubament program it will not go away. We are still paying the Spanish-American war telephone tax. Another example is Roe v Wade, it is UnConstitutional but will never be repealed. There will never be enough support in Congress to abolish the income tax.

Russert was asking him about the U.N. and Paul talked about the Korean War, usurping the powers of Congress to declare war, continuing presence on the Korean Peninsula

It is obvious that he sees the Korean Peninsula as not being an American interest and that Americans fighting the Korean War was wrong and unnecessary.

"Canadians for Ron Paul" is really picking up steam here on FR!

Unless you are the same Canadian and are just really busy.
