I hope that the public authorities will become aware of the imminence of calamity and especially that they will finally seek solutions. I would not like to be in their shoes, for the margin of maneuverability, if there is one, will be very narrow. Yes, the perpetrators must be mercilessly punished. But repression, in the long term, solves nothing.
And people must stop dreaming, those on the Left and the others: neighborhood police are not a panacea either. You cannot graft an ethnic police force ["police communautaire"] on a society that is this sick and torn apart, in which the members are in open rebellion against society. Police are a means, not a solution. Educators will not be useful either: you cannot cure cancer with a placebo. To shower the caids [a type of governorship, originally found in North Africa and Moorish Spain] with subsidies to buy armed peace will be the chosen way: it will provide only a short respite. Is there another solution? I don't know, and I am very happy not to be in government.
If organized, a controlled gradual escalation may be deliberate. Boil the frog slowly and he doesn’t realize what’s happening until it’s too late. Slow escalation is important to the perpetrators for two reasons: desensitizing the targets, and attract enough supporters & participants that when it gets _serious_ there are simply too many involved at once to apprehend individually.
And that's where you're wrong. You and a few like-minded pals may be boiling, but "people," in general, are not. And the reason they're not boiling is primarily because "our" illegals a) tend to work for a living, and b) aren't prone to massive rioting.
That's not to say things might not change here ... but the dynamics of our illegal immigration problem are nothing like the problem of the French "yutes."
Deportation of the non-citizen muzzies may be the way to go, if Sarko can weather the condemnations from the left and bastions of freedom like Saudi Arabia.

If both sides surrender to each other, who wins? Of course the main question is will the United States be expected to liberate both sides after the joint surrender?
They better hope that Sarkozy remains their president. Otherwise, they will surely surrender in face of a threat of war.

I believe a lot of them are from former French North Africa (Algeria and Morocco). It's possible that they may have special legal status with regard to French residency.

My understanding is that most are “guest workers” of some sort that never went back to their craphole countries. With France’s history in Algieria, they probably shouldn’t have let any Algierians in either!

Guerilla warfare works if the rebels represent the majority population and easily blends into the general population. Tough to conduct guerilla warfare when you are racially distinct and the minority population. Keep the violence up and France may have ethnic cleansing. Time for France to have technical military talks and advice from the Serbs.
France has nukes. When France falls...
Hard options will have to be weighed.
