Once a person makes the decision to invade someone elses castle, he should be held to have abandoned all rights, in my opinion.I think the same concept should be applied to illegal aliens.
To: MHT
Like the border guards whose "victim" got immunity, only to commit another crime, we need a separate set of laws for illegals who commit crimes.
No the existing laws needs to be enforced on illegals. Adding more laws will only add more tyranny.

Well said SWAMPSNIPER. The illegals want to impose a tax on us without representing us and without even being elected. This is something that many Americans fought and died for. We should not just give that up as some pundits here would argue.

Its one thing to reason as we do, but its entirely another to put an actual bullet in a guy over a VCR. Would I? Probably so.
I probably would not shoot someone over a VCR, but once I even see a hint of deadly force, weapons, deadly threats, then they are fair game. No in the case of a VCR, I would call the police and detain them, probably at the same time.
When I was attacked in the park, I could have easily have killed the guy, but I did not, instead holding him down while a nice couple called the cops. While waiting on the cops I made sure the guy knew that if he kept attacking people indiscriminately that eventually he would end up dead by attacking the wrong guy.

Ah!
That explains why the blacks have been marching in protest to the shootings...
I assumed from the names - that the perps were non-black Hispanics...
I should have known.....no black perp EVER deserves to have their criminal asses filled with lead...

I probably would not shoot someone over a VCR,...
I can understand that. I'm not as willing to allow someone to cart off with my goods. My VCR is evidently more important to me than his life is to him.
...but once I even see a hint of deadly force, weapons, deadly threats, then they are fair game.
Absoluetly...
No in the case of a VCR, I would call the police
By that time he'd be gone...
...and detain them, probably at the same time.
Good luck with that.
The detaining of an individual is where the problem comes in. You have to expose yourself to bodily injury to do it. I don't care how capable you are, there are some things you can't prevent. If the jabs you in the eye, picks up something and injurs you with it, you could be damaged for life. Which is more important, his longevity or you remaining healthy? That's where I'm coming from when I say I'd just put the guy out of my misery. I've got not obligation to care what happens to him. I do have an obligation to prevent people from destroying my home piece by piece.
When I was attacked in the park, I could have easily have killed the guy, but I did not, instead holding him down while a nice couple called the cops.
Which in spirit I support. Not eveyone can do that. And many of those who think they can, will have to struggle to do it and could become seriously injured in the process. I haven't seen stats on it, but I'd wager many people in this nation suffer serious injury each year trying not to use excessive force against a person who has stolen their property.
While waiting on the cops I made sure the guy knew that if he kept attacking people indiscriminately that eventually he would end up dead by attacking the wrong guy.
Which is exactly what he banked on. I don't mean to give you a hard time, but these guys know all too well that we'll extend to them treatments that they would never extend to us or our loved ones.

We own them too; as it was our money that paid for them. Touché'! However, come to think about it, if a highway is stolen or invaded, it's up to the Feds to send agents or the military to find it or take it back! LOL

The ATF, ICE and DPS have reportedly formed a task force to bring the crime wave to an end.Seems to me that Mr. Horn may have brought that crime wave to an end.

Enough of these damn task forces and start doing what Mr. Horn did, get the thugs. In Arlington they have meetings every week over the gang problems but nothing is ever done about it.

I’m waiting to find out if they are connected with the other Bump Key Burglaries in Dallas/Fort Worth & San Antonio. They had been flying with their loot back to Puerto Rico.
To: DoughtyOne
I will say that folks should be very careful about who they gun down. If a well meaning person ends the life of an innocent, they should face a hell of a sentence for having done so.
No that has always been one of the big cons..
If a well meaning citizen reasonably believes a crime is taking place and becomes involved resulting in the loss of innocent life.
They should no more face any criminal sanction than a Police Officer acting reasonably involved in the same situation..
It will be an accident and a tragedy but no crime. It should not be used by prosecutors (as it is now) to deter citizens from acting prudently and actively in defense of themselves their neighbors and communities.
One law for all or no law at all.

Seems to me that Mr. Horn may have brought that crime wave to an end. While he likely made a dent in it, it's unlikely to have been just those two. Next pair may be armed with something more useful than a crowbar.
Although if they'd publish the photos of the "hamburger" resulting from a shotgun charge at 15 feet, that might deter a few of 'em.
