BLUFFTON, S.C. (AP) -- Republican White House hopeful Rudy Giuliani said Friday he wouldn't try to change laws that make citizens of children born in the U.S. to illegal immigrants, noting that it's a matter determined by the Constitution.

"That's a very delicate balance that's been arrived at, and I wouldn't change that," Giuliani said in response to a question while campaigning at Sun City Hilton Head, a sprawling retirement community down the South Carolina coast from Charleston.

The Constitution doesn’t exactly say that, but it is how the courts have interpreted it, which in realistic terms means the same thing.

You know, a lot of these guys have just lost any sense of nationality or patriotism. Guys like Rudy see themselves as "international entrepeneurs" and borders and national governments are viewed by them as nuisances.

Like many of these guys (Wall Street Journal County Club for Growth poofs), Rudy dodged the draft. "Country" doesn't mean to them what it means to most people. The USA is just another marketplace to them.

So is the right to bear arms and defending our sovereignty.

Are you a supporter of this too Rootie?

One sample of a typical Rudy idea, where immigration is concerned. One more reason to support Duncan Hunter.

What probably sounded great to the founders when slaves and Indians were not considered “much” of citizens (as horrible as that was), and when it took everyone else weeks to get here by ship, has been found not to work in the 21st century. We need to amend the Constitution to make it clear that anyone born in the United States to a parent who is legally here is a citizen.

This means that tourists and legal immigrants can pop out Baby Americans but illegal immigrants, even if here for decades, may not. It would definitely be a deterrent to illegals as well.

Oh, and maybe we should close our borders, too...

I’ll see that Giuliani and raise the stakes by 30 million illegal alien immigrants.

Humanitarianism, starts with the U.S. Citizens who are footing the bill for criminal behavior, and the nation whose own Constitution and culture deserve preservation.
