Young Brooklyn Man Heard Screaming, 'I've Got A Gun!' On 911 Tape; Ignored Officer's Directions To Surrender
NEW YORK (CBS) ― The Brooklyn teenager who was shot and killed Monday by NYPD officers while carrying a hairbrush had pulled the concealed brush out from under his clothing and aimed it at officers as if it were a gun, causing officers to open fire, Commissioner Ray Kelly said Tuesday.
Kheil Coppin, 18, was pronounced dead after being shot eight times amid a flurry of 20 bullets.

Community leaders are also demanding answers.
"I don't care whether they are black, Latino, or white, when they join the force most of them turn blue," said City Councilman Charles Barron. "When you turn blue, you police the white community one way and you police the black community another way.
I can't even figure out how to load a hairbrush, much less shoot one.
I think we need Chris Rock’s opinion on this one...
it’s called suicide by cop. sometimes the person doesn’t have the guts to do it, so they have someone else do it ie confront the Police in a violent manner.

After hearing the 911 audio, my only question is what to do about the poor marksmenship of the LEO’s in question.

The 911 tapes clearly show that the call to cops was a mentally unbalanced man with a gun. Witnesses seem to corraborate the fact that this guy kept saying, “Bring it...I got a gun.” Something too about a note in the guy’s pocket stating something to the effect of death by cop?
I was thinking the same thing.
Not sure how it is loaded but the brush must have a “hair trigger”.
The 911 tape is clear. The suspect is heard in the background of the call stating he had a gun.
How do I know this? (1) Because the media consistently refers to the victim/perp as a "teenager" to make him seem younger than his age (he's legally an adult); and (2) the front page of the New York tabloids today had a photo of this victim/perp that looks like it was taken about 4-5 years ago.
I want to see a picture of what this quasi-humanoid mutant looked like LAST WEEK.

In the racial victim business these guys specialize in, when a black cop shoots a black person, it is still racist because the cop works for ‘the man’ and thus is no longer black, but some kind of robot who has been programmed to treat blacks differently.
He was trying to say, "I have a gunky hairbrush, that's all! Don't shoot!"
