An Iowa college student pulled back the curtain on Hillary Clinton's stage-managed campaign stops..... Muriel Gallo-Chasanoff said a Clinton staffer produced a binder with about eight questions. "The top one was planned specifically for a college student," she said. "It noted 'college student' in brackets and then the question." Clinton's staffer approached her..... Gallo-Chasanoff said she proposed a question about comparing Clinton's energy plan.... "I don't think that's a good idea," the staffer told her, "because I don't know how familiar she is with their plans." Gallo-Chasanoff says the Clinton camp tried to get her to keep quiet.......a staffer called and told her "not to talk about" the story to more media.

This is the real Hillary, micromanaging, scripted talking points and carefully parsed answers. Trouble is she can't pull it off as well as the great deceiver, Bill Clinton.

I shudder to think of her as President ...God save our Republic from that.

The story isn’t the incident. The story is Hillary’s reaction to the incident. First she denies it, then when this 19-year-old citizen goes to the press and sounds credible, she attempts to strong-arm her, telling her to keep quiet. That’s reprehensible.

I agree, pretty much, but each had (has) different reasons. GHWB deliberately moved himself away from Reagan because a) he wanted to establish his own political identity; and b) he didn't really understand Reaganism, in that order.

GWB is less Reagan-like because he is dealing with a different situation. However, he DOES agree with one Reaganesque principle: one big battle at a time. In Reagan's case, it was "defeat Soviet communism"; in GWB's case, it's "defeat terrorism."
