I thinking along the lines of "Chavez es un pendejo."

That, too.

Three cheers for Spain’s King Juan Carlos. Thank you King! For once someone told Chavez what he has needed to be told for a long time.

I mean Fidel has lasted HOW many of our presidents?
My guess is that sealed archives will show that JFK cut a deal with the Soviets that left Fidel in power...and Fidel has a signed copy of it to hold over our heads.

Now why doesn’t anyone in our government have the backbone to do this?

My father in law is a friend of Juan Carlos. He will be very happy to see this.

I like this one better, courtesy of Babelfish:

"Porqué no lo haga usted cierra para arriba, usted roedor eyed beady!"

Translation: "Why don't you shut up, you beady eyed rodent!"

"Why don't you shut up?"

I couldn't have said it better myself. Why don't you, Hugo?

“Hugo Chávez, ‘¿por qué no te callas?’”

OMG! That is hilarious! I can’t wait to see this on protest signs around the world!

usted roedor eyed beady

ROFLOL! This is better than the Japanese "Engrish" site.

Seriously, though, Chavez and the LatAm left suffer from ADS (Aznar Derangement Syndrome). They're obsessed by him, even though it's been nearly three years since he left office. But what would you expect of roedores eyed beady.

Franco was a complex character, much deeper than the simple carciature the PC revisionists make him out to be. He was a dictator who killed a lot of people, and accepted Fascist help during his country’s civil war. Yet, contrary to popular perception, he wasn’t really Hitler’s little toady. Spain adopted a policy of neutrality in WWII, and the famous “Blue Division” of Spanish volunteers was very strict about fighting the Soviets and only the Soviets (as payback for the Soviets helping the Socialist side during the Spanish Civil War).

Perhaps one of the most little-known facts about Franco is his protection of the Jews. Jews crossing the border to escape from Vichy France were given sanctuary, and Spain granted Spanish citizenship to thousands of Sephardic Jews all over Europe and allowed them to come to Spain. Franco even went so far as to secure the release of 400 Spanish Jews who had already been deported to Bergen-Belsen concentration camp.

Franco certainly was no saint, nor was he a freedom fighter, but he did enough good that the Jewish community, to this day, considers him a righteous Gentile.
