Embattled Democrat Pete Stark has just publicly apologized to "the president and his family."
He took the floor after his fellow Democrats successfully killed a motion to censure him in the wake of his remarks last Thursday asserting that American troops were fighting in Iraq to have their "heads blown off for the president's amusement."
"I want to apologize to my colleagues, many of whom I have offended," Stark began. He then apologized to "the president and his family" and "the troops."
"I hope that with this apology, I return to being as insignificant as I should be," he concluded though a voice cracking with emotion.

They write a letter over Rush Limbaugh and stop a censure for claiming our Troops go to Iraq to Blow off heads of women and children. Guess that sums up the HateAmericRat Party.

ROTFLMAO! AW, you just made Pepsi come out of my nose...
I didn’t get the Turkey, that is pretty funny.

Even more likely would be a call from another fat drunk insisting that he take a car ride with him some night.
Obviously, the motion would have passed had he not agreed to apologize so the loony left had an excuse NOT to censure him. At least the pubbies had the backbone to present a censure motion.
She Looked a bit Surprised.

I am a Non-Commissioned Officer returned from the war.
Mr. Stark, your belated attempt to cover your adipose backside is an insult to any American’s intelligence.
Your conduct during time of war is reprehensible and deserving of any and all contempt.
Given the fact you are a member of a political faction that has openly embraced sedition, I and my brothers and sisters under arms cannot reasonably expect honorable actions from you. Should such expectations be met, we would expect your resignation from Congress forthwith and without prejudice.
OMG, that is just great! LOL!!!
Dana can accept his apology, but I’d spit on the POS

And look at which gutless RINO didn’t even bother to vote?
My word, that amount of incivility would make any reasonable person shudder.
Son, you'd be amazed at what you see if you go over there enough. Those people aren't just crazy, they're dangerous. Oh, and BTW - check out my tag line.
Well, I see the bad week (to their perception) that was last week continues for the nuts in their base.
Meanwhile, I’m shocked. Is this complete context? Because Democrats don’t just apologize. especially Liberal Democrats from California. They either take it back as they are giving it, or give non apologies. if they apologize at all.
I mean..if this is complete context then wow. First time I’ve been shocked by something a Democrat has done in years. And if it’s completely in Context, Thank you Congressman Stark. It speaks to humility, a conscience and you are truly a better person for having done so.
I won’t debate who pulled who’s arm or nothing like that, because even when Daly put Durbin on the hot seat Durbin never apologized. he gave a non apology and then insulted the troops again. This guy could have acted like everyone else, so, kudos.
bttt
He’s still a a$$hole.
Well said.
The one dummy responds by asking why he belongs to a party of cowards...because they are dummy!
The Dem tammany party is saturated with cowards and traitors and thieves.
Stark was forced no doubt. The Dem leadership had to put the kebosh on a censure vote, they couldn’t vote against the censure as it would alienate the moonbat base. Couldn’t vote for it as Stark’s original remarks were absurd, offensive and perhaps treasonous on their face.
Lose/lose situation for Pelosi, a “voluntary” apology by Stark was the only real political solution for them.
