Supporters of the Ron Paul Revolution were evangelizing out on the streets of Tempe this past weekend, while thousands were in town for the ASU vs. Washington Huskies game at Sun Devils Stadium. It started online and now it's moving into the physical world, I'm beginning to see this guy's name in more places and I'm recognizing someone is doing a hell of a job at getting the message out.
Earlier last week I authored a blog post about Chiropractors Voting for Ron Paul and there were quite a few comments posted. One comment came from a Life Chiropractic College student in Atlanta and it was suggested that there is a lot of excitement for Ron Paul at the Marietta chiropractic campus. Several days later I was visiting Cleveland Chiropractic College (which recently received some fresh paint) and I noticed banners hanging on the fences across the street from the school, displaying Ron Paul Revolution messages. A week later and I'm at Arizona State University in Tempe and there are college students marching the streets with Ron Paul banners, is this all just a coincidence or is there a real movement going on?
I was reminded why one should always travel with your digital camera because you never know when you'll need it. I was on my way back to a chiropractic conference at the Tempe Mission Palms when the group of Ron Paul supporters began approaching on 5th St. and S. Mill Ave, right in front of Hooters and The Library. The guy leading the way was holding a poster that read "Ron Paul for Liberty" and he was followed by about a group of a dozen others.
The next photograph I took shows a young guy holding a very large banner with a PVC frame, the banner reading "Ron Paul Revolution." The group was upbeat and was moving pretty quickly through the neighborhood surrounding the ASU campus. Passing by drivers cheered and honked their horns which had me thinking more people are excited by this movement than just those carrying posters.
I revisited an article I authored in September regarding presidential campaign web sites and it looks like the Ron Paul web team took my website advice and optimized the RonPaul2008 URL so that it does not split PageRank. It's only about a month later and Google searches for the term Ron now display 'Ron Paul' results above the fold.
As I mentioned in my blog post, I don't know much about Ron Paul but I have seen his name appearing consistently in chiropractic newsgroups and e-mail newsletters. It will be interesting to see which 2008 presidential candidates receive endorsements from national organizations, such as the International Chiropractors Association and the World Chiropractic Alliance. If anyone can offer information as to why Ron Paul would make a good candidate for the chiropractic profession to support, I'll consider posting it to Planet Chiropractic. You can reach me via e-mail by clicking on the yellow envelope under the title of this post.
Suckered, I don't know, but I think that you are absolutely right.
I don't know about the conspiracy thing, but I've not seen anything that would make me think Paul is an antisemite, or anti Israel, any more than he's anti Taiwan or anti South Korea.
But Paul has to stand up an reject this support.
Like Reagan, like Bush I.
If he doesn't, and he hasn't, he owns it.
No, Im being factual and rational, as opposed to your fictional and irrational.

Sorry, you’ve drunk deeply of the chiropractic Kool-Aid.
You seriously stand behind vague statements about “perform better in their chosen profession” “live longer”, etc.
There’s this thing called “science”, you should look into it because you’re seriously out to lunch and obviousy a FANATIC as most chiro’s and their patients tend to be.
You have to admit, chiropractors for -----, anyone, is funny.
You have to admit, chiropractors for -----, anyone, is funny.
Chiropractors are for him because he is for freedom in healthcare. Something that will be positive to all consumers. Break the medical monopoly of physicians!
__
Trying to get coverage from insurers and figuring out new things that they can “treat” are 2 of the things that keep most chiropractors and their organizations busy.
They can provide manipulation and temporary relief, they have about as much right being called doctor as does a professional masseuse.
So insurers should cover other unscientific methods like reflexology, and other “alternative” quackery etc.??? It looks like we’re uncovering the NOT CONSERVATIVES on FR on the Paul threads.
There is no medical “monopoly”, many insurers have already rolled over to the Chiroquackers and other assorted moonbats with crystals, hypnotic regression, etc.
What an ignorant statement! Chiropractic patients live longer, remain functional in their professions longer, rarely have serious diseases, and live without fear.
__
So you are SERIOUS????
Because you get your back cracked you LIVE WITHOUT FEAR!?!? Let’s not either get into the other silly, unproven or unprovable statements you make. Your one little paragraph is filled with so much nonsense that all I have left for you is pity.
You have been snookered, hornswaggled into the little cult of chiro. BUT, like a placebo if you feel this sense of “wellness” and wonderment and awe and connection with the world that makes you live longer, less prone to serious disease, etc., more power to you.
I wish the best for you and all people but please don’t try and tell people here that chiro is legitimate, your list of benefits is FANATICAL, look at what you wrote again. I’ve seen more modest claims from traveling wonder-tonic salesman traveling by horse and carraige in my past life 150 years ago!
quackwatch.com is the site of the de-licensed Dr. Steven Barrett.
There is no factual information to be found on that site.
He has been punished and humiliated in court every time that he has appeared in the last five years. He is currently under judgement in California courts at the six figure level and he is stonewalling the court. He will not appear, and his attorney has requested to be removed from the case. The attorney now needs his own attorney to appear in court, because he is also under examination in the case.
You have a knack for picking the quakiest people to rely upon.
You must be one of Barrett's wacky lackies!
One of the first things that a patient figures out when they get away from the allopathic drug pushers is that "health insurance" is not only a waste of money, but also an invitation to an early death. Get off the deadly prescription drugs, and eat a natural diet, and your health returns as your body is allowed to heal from the toxic assault.
There are quite a number of MDs that are supporting that path, and taking back their profession, Like Dr. William Campbell Douglas, Dr. Julian Whitacker, and Dr. Alan Spreen. Fee for service is making a comeback as people wise up.
I don’t follow the comings and goings of Dr. Barrett, I know of that site because it’s easy to remember.
Chiropractic is quackery, many chiro’s are totally off the reservation in regards to childhood immunization and ANY kind of NORMAL pharmaceutical drugs.
They make fantastic claims, kind of like the sentence full of NUTTERY YOU claim as benefits of chiropractic.
MANY chiropractors still use the old con man trick of your one leg is longer than the other. I and many REFORMED Chiropractors know what chiropractic can and can’t do, you seem to have drunk deeply from the Kool-Aid.
The elder and original chiropractor of the family full of them (both his daughters became chiros) was resigned to what his field was. He became the king of medicare chiro in the Bronx, assembly line chiro, crack, crack, crack, NEXT! 3 days a week, the amount of patients he saw would boggle your mind.
Chiropractic has no magical side benefits, can not cure liver disease, cancer, why stop there if you go to enough chiros they will claim to cure ANYTHING, they all make WILDLY SPECIOUS claims.
It is up to THEM to prove these claims, you know that pesky little science part. Instead CHIROPRACTORS and their duped lackeys claim CONSPIRACY! by the Medical Industry, CONSPIRACY! by big pharma and CONSPIRACY! against the insurers who don’t ascribe to their MEDIEVAL practice.
You’re simply willfully ignorant.
The evidence has been out there for over 50 years. Drugs kill; vaccinations kill infants and the infirm.
All diseases are cured by proper diet, and not one is cured by drugs.
You and Barrett are like peas in a pod.
Sorry , Paul hasn’t raised enough money on his own to afford the kind of expenditures that he’s exhausting in this campaign .
Most of those signs are professionally made , and many of them are made to look homemade, which they are not. Quite expensive campaign goodies , to say the least.... so where is all that funding coming from ?
No /s
RP is in the upper tier in fund raising. He also has always been able to raise big bucks in his congressional races.
What will Paul do when he doesn’t win the primary ? Will he go third party ?
Youre simply willfully ignorant.

___
You keep gettting kookier.
You’re obviously a nutter, I will remain “willfully ignorant”.
You will continue to claim:
Chiro patients live longer - Absolute fanatical nuttery.
Chiro patients perform better in their jobs - Fanatical, delusional, self-absorbed, unprovable nonsense. What that says is “I’m better than you”
Chiro patient are less susceptible to major diseases - More unprovable nuttery and nonsense.
You can conclude that only if you don’t understand the first thing about statistics. Unless the chiropractic patient population is an exact cross-section of the general population, which it almost certainly isn’t, this conclusion isn’t even remotely valid.
Chiro patients live a “Life without Fear”..............boo! you’re nuts!!! Look at your fanatical claims again and TRY to look at them rationally.
If I made your claims based on __________, you inserted chiropractic. You would be right in telling me I’m a little wacky, how can you say __________ can do all those things? Can you back it up? What’s your evidence? Where’s the science?
Are you a “truther”?
I have no idea what he will do. The whole unfolding scenario of so many dissimilar and opposing groups coalescing around the man is bizzare.
Yes it is , and that’s why it is impossible to support him.
We don’t know who he “ belongs “ to now , which is quite unnerving and suspicious . When Bill Maher likes him , it gives me the ultimate reservations about Paul .
A million people like me are the ‘science.’
I have never been vaccinated in the 63 years that I have been alive. I don’t go to doctors, MD or even DC for the last 25 years. I don’t take drugs, nor do I consume much dairy, bread or pasta. I eat small amounts of vegetables, but never to excess. I eat mostly beef, lamb, and deep cold water fish. I don’t catch colds or the flu, even when working in large groups of people who are experiencing some local epidemic. I do use herbs to varying degrees.
When I left a job as an engineering inspector with the county, I left behind 1200 hours of acumulated sick leave after 13 years of employment. The fools that go to doctors usually leave with zero hours, and several cronic ailments to boot.
How’s your health Mr Nutter?
Liberals love Ron Paul.
Yup, liberals are all for any activity conducted between consenting adults, except business. Liberals read Ayn Rand and don’t get it.
I want to see the Republicans become more libertarian in their domestic policies, but libertarian foreign policy is cuckoo.
