Some of the 2008 Republican presidential candidates have said flatly that they do not believe in evolution, while other Republican contenders have said they support teaching evolution, intelligent design and creationist ideas.

“I believe in evolution, and I am shocked at some of the things that people in public life have been saying,” Mrs. Clinton said in the interview. “I believe that our founders had faith in reason and they also had faith in God, and one of our gifts from God is the ability to reason.”.....

Hillary Clinton would be the madame of the whorehouse in which science was forced to prostitute itself. Far from its guardian, she would be its ultimate exploiter.

Remember when the money used to go to the NSF for worthy research but then that became too politicized so Congress thought they could do a MUCH BETTER job of allocating the money................

I say good. If there truly is a shield between science and politics that means that the government should never fund science, right Hillary?

Great!

We won’t have to hear her or other politicians mouth off on subjects they know nothing about, like global warming and nuclear power.

You do understand that Galileo didn’t have as much problem with the religious powers of the day about his view of the earth/solar system model

as he did with his attitude that the vatican MUST accept his view and his other “heresy” against Christ, etc...

“Right, if you don’t want politics involved with science then don’t fund it. There ins no constitutional mandate for science.”

PERFECT response.

Get our tax dollars out of science, and let the scientists do as they wish via private funding. If whatever it is that the scientists are pursuing is worthwhile, the free market will pay for it. If nay given scientific gambit is not worthwhile, it will die on the vine.

She HAS ALL THE ANSWERS! She knows best. She is perfect. She can cure all. She can make it better. She is blessed with wisdom. She is so smart. She is above all. She is a born leader. She cares so. She believes. She is so trust worthy. She can do it all for us.

Hey Hillary. I have a question. Since you are so damned wonderful, please answer this for me. You have been in the United States Senate over 8 years or so now. Can you TELL ME WHY you have not proposed ONE PIECE of legislation, got passed ONE THING, during your ENTIRE time in the Senate, yet if we hand over the office of supreme commissar to you, YOU WILL FIX IT ALL? Just how the hell do you plan to do this Hillary? If you are this damned great, WHY have you not done it up to now??? Why??? Just answer that bitch.
