If he’s not a true, blue, card-carrying Christian-—forget it.
Evangelicals will never vote a Mormon for any office...it’s a matter of principle.

It will be very hard to have a President who wears “underwear” with a Pentagram on it to represent the evangelical Christians in America.

“Evangelicals will never vote a Mormon for any office...

Yep, I suspect that’s true.

And as a conservative, non-denominational Christian from Bible-belt
Oklahoma, I was SHOCKED to hear the invective hurled against the
possibility of a Mormon in the White House on Los Angeles’ major
Christian talk-radio station, KKLA 99.5FM even a couple of years ago.

Maybe having a Mormon in The White House is not my own personal
first-choice.
And Mormonism ain’t my theological cup-of-tea.

But if Romney ends up on the ticket (Pres or VP) for the Nov. 2008 election...
I’ll still be voting “R”...considering all the possible alternatives
that will appear on the “D” ticket.

“Evangelicals will never vote a Mormon for any office.”

And they should be ashamed of themselves for it. It’s just pure bigotry against Mormons.

I'm an evangelical, and I would vote for a Mormon if his positions on the issues matched mine.

So if Romney turns out to be the nominee, the Evangelicals will not vote for him, thus insuring that a Marxist will become President of the U.S.

Well then, if this is correct, then let me say this in advance. "Thanks Evangelicals, you're certainly getting what you deserve".

Does that bigotry and lack of tolerance extend to Christ-killer Jews and Papist Catholics?

If Mitt wins the primary (somehow), I can imagine the headline: "Evangelicals' Anti-Mormon Principles Catapult Hillary to Victory!!!" in 840-point type.

Evangelicals will never vote a Mormon for any office..

I'm an Evangelical conservative Christian.

I would rather support a Mormon who holds 95% of my conservative values than a self-proclaimed 'mainstream' Christian (Guliani) who holds practically NONE of my conservative values.

Like I've said before, do those who hate Mormons also hate Jews, or Jehovah's Witness', or non-sectarian Budhist monks? (all non-Christians)

It wasn't that long ago that Southern Baptists and other Protestants distrusted Catholics, and claimed they would never ever vote for a Catholic for President.

If evangelicals do NOT support the Republican candidate, they guarantee the further dissolution of the family during another Clinton presidency, the incremental institutionalization of socialized medicine, the deepening of abortion "rights" through lifetime judicial appointments, and a toehold for Sharia law and the greater entrenchment of Islam in the US.

It's time to think strategically about this election. The Hillary camp sure is, daily. It is a tipping point in American history.

I would rather have a President with a different take on Christianity than a manipulative micro-managing "Christian" who construes it as her divine mission to tell everyone else how they have to live.

Evangelicals will never vote a Mormon for any office...it’s a matter of principle.

In 1960, millions of mainstream Protestant Christians reportedly said they would NEVER vote for a Catholic, due to the belief that JFK would be beholden to the Roman Catholic POPE!

(not to mention the Protestants bewilderment of Rosary Beads, unending Hail Mary prayers, fish on Friday, celibacy, the deified appoint of the Papal office, etc)

Like the bulk of Catholics, Mormons have been one of the strongest, most productive, most pro-patriotic US supporters (and conservative) in the past 100 years.

These Romney-haters should take a hard look at themselves, rather than spew this hatred toward an accomplished Mitt Romney -- a man who likely would be the strongest candidate against ANY Democrat, including Hillary.
