Among the nearly two dozen television DVDs slated for nationwide release on Sept. 11 is the second season of "Bones," the third season of "Grey's Anatomy" and the miniseries "The Starter Wife" that aired earlier this year. Not on the list on that day or any other in the near future is last year's highly controversial "The Path to 9/11."
The $40-million, five-hour ABC miniseries, which recently received seven Emmy nominations and drew a combined two-night audience of more than 25 million viewers, is for now on the path to nowhere. Its Amazon page reads: "Currently unavailable. We don't know when or if this item will be back in stock."
With no date for the release, questions are being raised about whether political pressure is behind its current status as a stalled or discarded DVD project. The reasons are murky, but the miniseries' writer, Cyrus Nowrasteh, believes it's crystal clear: Powerful forces are out to protect Bill Clinton's presidential legacy and shield Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y.) from any potential collateral damage in her bid for the White House.
Nowrasteh, also one of the miniseries' many producers, said he was told by a top executive at ABC Studios that "if Hillary weren't running for president, this wouldn't be a problem."

What's the problem? Truth? That's always been a problem for them. ABC must want another 9/11 to happen. This is disgusting. I thought the MSM had no bias? No political agenda? Just present the facts? Don't want to hurt Hillary? ABC is the ALL BILL CLINTON network....................Walt must be spinning in his grave.............
Nowrasteh says the Disney folks told him it was 'unfortunate' Hillary is running for Pres right now......so they won't release this on DVD.
Don't want to hurt her chances, doncha know.
Where’s those DVD pirates when you need them?
Oh, that’s right, they are funneling money to her royal clintoness.
So much for free speech. Democrats hate free speech.
If it's out on the Internet, I can't find it. I had friends check all the P2P networks.

Of course, if that happens, the producers can’t benefit.

Where the remedy to this was canvassed and the best thing that could happen is to send a pirated DVD to Hong Kong, and within 72 hours copies of this DVD would be available on the black market, and disseminated so widely that no one could censor it.
Anyone who votes for Clinton votes for a Mafiosa who disguises herself in the robes of legitimacy. I have no problem of using her own style of dirty dealing against her by recommending a published bootleg copy via Hong Kong and the Phillipines.
It certainly would make several asian DVD pirates extremely wealthy.More trickle down that the Peace Corps ever could create, which is our plausible public excuse!
LOL.
The producers should have taken care of a DVD release, by a specific date, in their contract.
I tried to watch it on ABC, and found it unwatchable. It seemed to be nothing but a hand-held camera pointed at people’s shins, torsos, and coffee cups. Couldn’t tell what was going on or who was speaking.
Why did the MSM have no problem with Michael Moore's slander on Pres Bush during an election period?
Why did the NBC not show the documentary on Clinton's rape of Juanita until AFTER the impeachment vote?
This is disgusting, and if the people are willing to accept this 'spiking', then we will get Hillary.
It ran in p2p/torrents for about 6 months after the airing — problem is that most filesharing still centers on new release movies, music and video game ISO’s.
Sure, the path to 911 drew 25 million viewers, but I think the filesharing traffic shows just how fatiqued the general public is with conspiracy theories and politics.
Al those pirated DVDs come out of China. They would never want to hurt “their” candidate!!
Gone the way of “Song of the South” its seems. I had this saved on TIVO for a long but it was cut off by Bush’s speech that night, so I deleted hoping we would soon get a good copy. Never gonna happen it seems.

I have that.
Resolution and sound/video bit rates are lousy, but the story line is still there.
It’s worth the download, just for the story.
But it’s not going to look good on a large screen.
Yep, it’s completely outrageous. The problem is, imo, that most people don’t even know this kind of stuff is supressed, unless they hang out on websites like this on a regular basis, which most don’t. How many people out there right now know the name Hsu?
In their reply they denied any political consideration. According to them it is a case of nonavailability of inventory with us
I replied that that sounded like spin for "we won't be carrying this item" and told them they had lost my confidence - and my business.
