I really liked Hunter’s answer about Gitmo.
Hunter’s doing extremely well, IMHO.

This is a superior debate. Candidates not only make contact with some of the issues but they also make contact with each other. Each has his strong points. Each has their liabilities. Another test is their "curb appeal;" this will determine the outcome in the general election.

Hunter , please just recommend that we take the terrorist captives out to sea and kick them out of the back of C-130’s

Ron Paul has voted against the Patriot Act multiple times. He wants it repealed.

Corruption was the main issue. Exit polls taken after 2006 said as much. Iraq wasn’t even in the top 3.
And no matter how unpopular the war is, the alternative of surrender is much, much more unpopular. Dems and Ron Paul’s strategy of retreat and defeat will fail because, like Huckabee said, we have a moral obligation to stay, and we are satisfying that obligation by empowering the local tribal governments, training iraqi police, and cuting off the tumor of Al-Qeada.

BTW, have you ever read the FULL Washington speech that the entangling alliances quote is taken from? Indeed. And yet so many Republicans are clearly ignore his warning of 'danger of parties' in service to the party. If more partisans read those words, perhaps we wouldn't come up with ridiculous catch phrases such as 'win back the Senate' and 'vote the R over the D' nonsense.

My son is serving in the US Military (hence the screen name) Ron Paul sounds like a sniveling Democrat My nephew is in the Navy; I'm a Navy guy myself. I come from a military family. They're all impressed with Paul's message of non-interventionism, free markets, fair trade and protection for the unborn.
That's classic, traditional conservatism that appeals to everybody, which is why Paul has the strong grassroots support he has now.

When Hunter was Chairman of the House Armed Services comm, he had everyone pack a bag and go with him to Gitmo to see how plush they had it.

LOL! Rice pilaf and honey glazed yummies on Fridays. Welcome to Club Gitmo!
The rotten terrorists we’re holding at Gitmo should be glad we don’t just hang them.

Hunter: Terrorists in GITMO never were killed in prison...most of those here cannot say the same about prisoners from their home districts.
