Like I said, Craig must be a very self destructive individual.

I think a good legal team could have done enough wrangling behind the scenes without that much public attention. By the time the case gained national prominence it would have been settled, charges dropped, and Craig's lawyers could have officially stated that nothing had happened. Too late now.

They seriously need to tear Specter a new one, before he gets another chance to do any more damage to his party. The man has no shame.

I think the only recourse for Craig now is Vegas. He could do a great stand up routine at one of the Casinos. "Larry Craig After Dark". He could enter the club from a men's room :

"Thank you, thank you, it's great to be here... ooops, I think I dropped a piece of paper by your foot...".

won't go willingly, politically speaking, throw him under the bus.

And run him over a few times, so he won't try to get back up, politically speaking.

just don't do it in a public bathroom.

Exactly. Or in a public park, or along the river bank. We do have problems with this in Minneapolis. It's sickening to think children (or other adults) have to be exposed to this. (sorry but I had to say "exposed")

I think he was railroaded. If he were a Demo, they would be having a standing ovation for him as they did for Studds.

If he goes too hard on Craig(lol), he could come off as a gay basher, and if he goes too easy, he could be perceived as overly pro-homo.

Just what kind of stance should he take? ;)

Clintonian. He's really finished now. If any one had any sympathy for him - its gone! In the West, we expect people to keep their word. Otherwise - it means nothing. Larry Craig doesn't know what it means to keep his word - he really has not a bone of honor in his body.

Dear Idaho Voters,

After getting caught in a Gay-Sex Bathroom sting operation, I made a mistake and pled guilty for something I didn’t do, thinking it would all go away.

Just a few days ago, I succumbed to the pressure and resigned from the Senate for pleading guilty to a crime I didn’t commit when I got caught up in a sting operation.

Now, I think I made another mistake and want to unresign. I’m sure that the good voters of Idaho will forgive my stupid decision to resign because I pled guilty to a crime I didn’t commit when I got caught in a gay sex sting.

I want to continue to serve you because I think I am the one person in Idaho who can best represent the good people of Idaho.

Sincerely,

Larry Craig, a total and complete idiot.

Does this mean his resignation statement was just a stall?

Yeah, sure. A real conservative doesn't play games and doesn't wiggle out of a commitment. What Craig just did really threw his career in the crapper. Should the people of Idaho believe anything he says when he won't abide by a promise to leave the Senate as agreed?

heh, eh, heh, eh, heh...you just said exposed!

Exactly. I could be taking my kids to the bathroom and they see this going on. I don't lie to my kids and when they ask me "What was that Daddy?" I'll have to honestly tell them "that is what some sick, weird deranged people do for entertainment. Not getting caught is part of the thrill."

"But in life, when you lie and act like a fool, you will always eventually get caught. So don't ever think you can get away with stupid acts or lies."

WOULD DEMS SAY OK TO LARRY CRAIG?

By J. Grant Swank, Jr.
MichNews.com
Sep 4, 2007

“The Senate Republican campaign chairman said his party responded properly to outgoing Sen. Larry E. Craig's sexual-misconduct case and rejected Democratic claims of a double standard for dealing with other embattled lawmakers,” per Eric Pfeiffer of The Washington Times.

Would Dems have simply nodded off when the Larry Craig twist hit the winds? No doubt.

Dems don’t have the collective moral sensitivity to find anything incorrect, let alone wrong, about what Craig did. Dems are amoral. In reality, Dems stand by an immoral position with such nonchalance that it depicts the ethical bankruptcy of their party.

Factually Dems are not “amoral.” They are “immoral” as such relates to ethical positions, whether religious, cultural or political.

Clinton did what he did with the Monica Lewinsky temptation. Dems stand by him to this day. Dems treat him as a celeb. He is applauded and stroked the more the years roll on. Accountability? None really. Just let Clinton be Clinton and toss out the moral standard. After all, that’s the age we live in.

When it comes to Republicans, however, there is a moral spine at their center. For instance, Republicans stands in the main against killing womb babies. Dems don’t do that; they defend murdering the defenseless innocent ones. They defend such murdering, not subtly, but with outbursts of enthusiasm.

Republicans are pro-family and pro-monogamous heterosexual marriage. Dems are aggressively pro-same gender alliances—unions or ‘marriages’ or whatever pleases their fancy. Dems define ‘family’ as they wish. Homosexual lifestyles are, especially among theologically liberal Dems, divine blessings.

Republicans are pro-biblical morality in every dimension of culture. Dems are not in line with biblical ethics, though they play word games to the contrary. Prime example of late is Barack Obama who touts his church activities and biblical quotes from a black church pulpit. However, that’s all obvious hypocrisy. He quotes Jesus’ statements from the Sermon on the Mount while discounting God’s prohibition of slaying the unborn. Without qualification, Obama preaches post-birth abortion—away from the church pulpit, however.

Republicans support America’s Judeo-Christian heritage. Dems would wipe it out in favor of total secularization. They believe that America “has to grow up” in order to be “modern.” Therefore, erasing orthodox Christianity is at the core of their agenda. Dems would delight in sinking the church. They only use the church for their political campaigns. They thrill at standing behind a sanctuary pulpit, especially before a black congregation. But that’s it. A photo op, nothing biblically sound.

Republicans defend freedom of religious expression. Dems fight it off at every chance, supporting every lawsuit aimed at eliminating ‘Jesus’ and ‘God’ and any reference to Scripture in public places. With that, Dems endorse all other religions but the Judeo-Christian faith.

Therefore, when it comes to Larry Craig. If he were a Dem doing what he did, he would still be in office.

A misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct is not an admittance of homosexual activity.

sounds familiar......

What's fishy is Ben Stein, who I worship, and Rush, who I like, are staunchly in Craig's corner.

I'm starting to think the media can't resist the ratings boost over a protracted Craig GOP food fight.

Especially when you throw Patrick McHenry into the fray.

Unless Stein and Limbaugh have solid proof this was a complete and total setup and Craig doesn't have a gay bone in his body (yeah right) I'm forced to move Ben and Rush into the media whore column.

Give it up. OJ was found guilty in the civil suit against him. No comparison.

Rush is probably sympathetic because of what they tried to do to him in FLA

That's a nice PhotoShop job, but this one's even better.

I realize this picture has nothing to do with Larry Craig, but this next one does:

Plus, they're both pictures of Rowan Atkinson.

"Just what kind of stance should he take?"

He should start in a conservative looking missionary position, and immediately break out on top if attacked from his right flank by Romney. If it really gets ugly, Rudy may have to reach around some of the candidates or even team up with McCain to run a train on Ron Paul if Paul goes after Rudy for being a flip flopper or fairy weather friend on gays.
