“Do not post to me”

We've received many requests from freepers requesting that other freepers not post to them. There are several problems with this.

1. It's impossible for us to enforce.
2. We don't have the time to enforce these requests.
3. We don't have the software to keep track of these requests.
4. Thick skin helps.
5. Ignore the poster, if you don't reply, they won't reply.

Free Republic does not need a bozo filter, bozo filters are for wimps.

Final note: Trolls, troublemakers, disruptors, forum pests, malcontents, RINOs, liberals, stalkers, et al, would continue posting to (harassing) someone after being asked to stop. Conservative FReepers would not.

I try to respond to most people when they write me, I think it’s rude to just ignore people. I sometimes feel ignored, I will write all this stuff, and sometimes no one will respond at all. It’s kind of sad.

Well, someone has to be last. Unless it's that Hobbit Hole thread from a couple of years back. Sheesh did that thing finally die?

This software is very gee-whiz enterprise-level stuff that integrates design with a rev-controlled engineering vault.

I've seen our folks become ensnared with stuff like that. Makes me almost glad I'm not doing hands-on R&D anymore.

Or makes me long for outfits like the small company I interviewed with once where "enterprise" was defined as a star ship. (That company is now called "Sonicare," last I looked.)

I have only "Waiting for the Electrician or Somebody(?) Like Him." Every few years we pull it out and laugh at the rest of our generation. (Could it be that FT were closet conservatives?)
