My wife has worked with disabled kids. She says the Downs syndrome babies are very sweet, stubborn as all get out, and can function on their own in group homes. Very lovable. The heartbreak for the parent is that they die so young, usually around 30, not that they live.

The bizarre part of this is that, if we press this issue to its logical conclusion, the abortion lobby may be forced to adopt a completely different abortion-justification argument. Instead of saying that women should be allowed to abort for any reason whatsoever, they may have to say that the only women who should be allowed to abort are those who are doing so for no reason whatsoever.

Second, the current enlightened and politically correct view is that homosexuality is not a choice but a function of genetics. While I am not convinced this is true, if it is then it is only a matter of time before scientists identify the genetic marker for homosexuality. It hasn't been for the lack of trying. But the textbooks are already written, they say it is genetic so it must be. Anyone with any doctorate degree has been so indoctronated.

She was not suppose to live with all her problems, but she is well into her 40's now and doing well. Very sweet girl with a great memory about people and a joy to be around.

The enemy of my enemy theory: Both groups (and their pro-Muslim brotherhood overseas) passionately hate (conservative) Christians.

he current enlightened and politically correct view is that homosexuality is not a choice but a function of genetics. Were we not just told a couple of weeks ago that the Spartans "Trained" their soldiers to be homosexual so that they would fight to protect their lovers in the same foxhole?
So which is it, a genetic trait or a learned behavior?
Of course, Spartans didn't utilize foxholes in battle, but no matter...

The problem with the homosexual movement is that they hate christians more than they hate extremists muslims.
To: camerakid400
That is the main reason the left sympathsizes with radical Islam, their level of hatred towards Christians and Jews are very similar.

So imagine that someday a conservative, but otherwise pro-choice, organization launches a campaign to encourage not force or require but simply encourage pregnant women to kill any fetus they are carrying who is identified as having a politically liberal genetic marker. Won't need any such organization. Liberal women are already aborting themselves out of future progeny.

Now, If we can just isolate the Liberal gene this problem would be self regulating.

The few gay pro-lifers are pro-life for this very reason.

I will second that we had terrible problems with our neighbours basically because thought they are the typical animal rights nut they hated us keeping pigeons.
They reported us to the local council etc etc. They sold their house and moved and no doubt thought who they had sold it to would cause us problems.
The house now has 3 Downs Syndrome lads and a girl who although describes herself as a client I would think she is really there to oversee them and also assist in her rehabilitation I suspect she is a recovering druggie.
We have not had one minute of problems with these lads or girl apart from one getting rather agitated when knocking on our door because his ball had gone into our garden and he wanted it back. Actually it was a shuttlecock.

If that is true then they are very much uninformed as Muslims and in particular radical Islam hates homosexuality and is far less tolerant than the majority of Christians are.

The real response will be to make the test a hate crime.
Researchers will be unable to get grant funding to develop a prenatal test for genetic predisposition towards homosexuality. Any researcher who announces such a test will be attacked. Any lab offering to process such a test will be firebombed by gay activists

One has to wonder... is there a liberal gene? And if one is discovered, will all liberals become prolife overnight?

Both gays and the NAGS are predominantly anti family. That they join forces is no surprise. Both groups are abominations.
