Just 60 days after forming an exploratory committee to defeat John Kerry for the US Senate in 2008, Jeff Beatty is receiving favorable support from voters across Massachusetts. A July poll conducted by the renowned Zogby organization shows Jeff Beatty to be in a virtual tie with the junior senator and former presidential candidate.
Zogby provided respondents with basic biographical information on John Kerry, Jeff Beatty and other Republican candidates and then asked who would you vote for? Results in the head-to-head competition were:
First; Kerry 48 % Beatty 45% (3 point margin error margin 4.1% = a tie) Second; Kerry 56 %, Healey 37% (19 point loss) Third; Kerry 61%, Card 29% (32 point loss) Against Jeff Beatty, the incumbents vote percentage plummeted below 50%--with Beatty in a virtual tie for the Senate seat, while Kerry rose significantly when pitted against the other Republican contenders. Results show that Beatty has rapidly become the front runner in the race to defeat John Kerry. The Zogby survey consisted of 41% Democrats, 20% Republicans and 38% unenrolled or independents.
The Zogby poll also documented that Beattys biographical information, his national and international public service, and his anti-terrorism credentials, made the difference with voters.
Jeff Beatty, who entered politics last year, has a lifetime of public service as a decorated veteran and Purple Heart recipient. He is the first person to have served with all 3 of the U.S.s most elite anti-terrorism units: Delta Force Assault Troop Commander in the first Blackhawk shot down; Special Agent of the FBI, advising the FBI National Hostage Rescue Team; and finally, a CIA Counter-terrorism Officer with service primarily in Europe and the Middle East running successful operations against terrorists and nations hostile to the United States.

Head to Head Polling showed Kerry ahead of Beatty 58-23. The 48-45 statistic was a bio poll im afraid.
Wish it could, but I don’t see much hope for change through the so-called “political process”.
That is the fly in the ointment. Still, it shows that there is a potential opening.
I can se that SS# blacked out. Seriously.
I would like to see a campaign commercial with Vietnamese General Giap promoting kerry’s heroism and bravery during the Vietnam War.
A couple of years ago, I was in Boston on business, and on the way back to the hotel one afternoon, I learned from the cabbie a very interesting tale. We were going past the State House, and he said there’s a side door that, under the charter (I think that’s what he said), only the President of the United States is allowed to enter through that door.
One day, for some event or other, Kerry tried to enter through that door, and they would NOT let him in. He threw a tizzy, but they still wouldn’t let him enter through that door.
Maybe a FReeper in Massachusetts could fill in the correct details, or debunk this tale.
Add Teddy the Swimmer to that and it will be a win win for the American people and the country.
It's really bad for sKerry when they have to skew the polls this bad.
Found it:

near the bottom of the page. The cabbie was mostly correct. Cool.
Calm down. Come crunch time I think the Democrats of Massachusetts will send Kerry back for another term.
Still, it’s worth a try when a Republican polls this strongly in MA. And perhaps Kerry will lose the Democratic primray.
It's silly beyond belief to suggest that Kerry will ever be thrown out of office. This filthy state in which I live is trending *LEFTWARD*...if that can be believed. All twelve of our "representatives" in DC are cowardly leftist RATS and we just elected a RAT quota queen as governor (by a wide margin).Add to that the fact that the Republican nominee for President hasn't gotten more that 44% of the vote here since '84 and you'll know that Kerry has the Senate gig for a long as he wants it...just like our senior Senator from Chappaquiddick.
Let me see, Mass. elected “Lurch and the Swimmer” enough said.
Like the greenies say, if you don't vote for what you want, you'll never get it.
The past six years in the US Congress & Senate and the last 12 years or so in the Oregon legislature, all under Republican control, have been very disappointing, especially in the areas of taxes & spending and government intrusion into things that are not authorized under our respective constitutions.
Not saying it's the case with Beatty, because I don't know, but the elected ranks of the party caucus are so polluted with RINOs there is no unity with which to advance Republican ideals.
It is hoped last year's sweeping defeat will bring a sort of cleansing effect in a party comeback. But it has to start right now while folks are getting lined up for the primaries. With the number of red states vs. blue states, there is no reason to not have had a conservative juggernaut in the Senate since 1995. Even now, the Democrat majority is so slim none of it's agenda will ever pass without Republican votes.
Maybe the people have gotten what they want (and deserve) from their representatives but I doubt it. If Beatty is a conservative then this is a good sign. New England especially needs a return to the values cherished back when they invented the USA.
Oh hell yes, it's worth a try. Better a contested race, always. Money invested in Kerry's race is money that he can't donate to another race in another state.
Just about anyone is better than lantern face...hope he’s defeated...he’s an enemy of America. As a recent article pointed out if in ‘71 we’d had the internet skerry wouldn’t be a senator today. He’d have been totally discredited...proving his commie ties for ALL to see.
Thanks, Clintonfatigued!
