This thread has been running for quite awhile. Thanks to you two and the others.
FYI, at my workplace in downtown DC we are conducting our first ever “shelter in place” drill (starting shortly, and lasting about 30 minutes) with a scenario of car bombings downtown. We’ve had plans for this type of event before this but have never actually gone through the motions.

There have been a lot of complaints about this excessiveness.
After other similar complaints have been ignored by the worst offenders who think those complaints don't apply to them, a lot of TMers have left (as evidenced by my freepmail,) because of the overload of long posts and superfluous news on Threat Matrix, totally unrelated to terrorism.
The original intent of Threat Matrix is/was tracking terrorism, not an all-news, thread.
Free Republic already is a 24/7 news site and it is a struggle to wade through the inordinacy and redundancy on Threat Matrix, especially for those who have other obligations and are unable to sit in front of a computer twenty hours a day. People come to this thread specifically to read terrorist related news.

Me too. I’ve got the FBI’s most wanted terrorists list up and you are right. I wish I knew how to capture just the one frame of that video so that we could have just his picture to refer to. Oh well!

I’m not sure about him as the 4th guy in the video looks younger than what Mugniyah is. Mugniyah would be 45 now, do you think maybe he could pass for younger?

Again, I’m going to have to generally disagree with this “excessiveness” of OT posting in this thread... for the most part, it continues to be a very good source of information as it always has been. People come and go on forums/threads, it’s normal... especially with a topic that can vary in intensity such as this. If there are serious concerns they can be brought to someone’s attention in private. It seems this discussion about OT information is OT in and of itself.

I have looked at some other pictures and can’t see anyone who matches as well as el-Shukrijumah. Check the hairline, his nose and eyes. He has kind eyes, like Bin Laden I guess appearances can de deceptive!).
I will take another look at some images in my terrorsim books. Who is the current head of al qaeda in Iraq? Could it be him?

I’ve been reading TM daily for several years.
If people didn’t post the various incidents around the country, how would we be able to correlate them to see possible terrorist actions? If there were no posts about suspicious cell phone purchases, would we put 2 and 2 together to see this as a systemic problem?
Anyone who thinks they have a handle on what is or is not terrorist related is just plain wrong.
