Breaking News on the Nifong case being read right now on FoxNews TV. I'm hearing convictions out numbering for each indictment outnumber no convictions at least 3 to one. The guy is going down and going down HARD.
If he doesn’t go to jail, I’m sure there’s a position waiting for him at the DNC...
Why the additional testimony? Let’s get on with the punishment phase of this case...DISBARMENT!
Yeah, I’m familiar with Durham. We’d looked into the possibility of moving to the Golden Triangle area at one point, many years ago. After driving through, we realized that we did NOT want to live in Durham! Seemed just as bad as some of the cities we’d gone through in N. Jersey!
Wonder what these sub-human idiots (protesters)are doing today? Apologizing profusely to the victims, right??
Nifong is reported to have told people that he needed to get re-elected in order to get a certain number of years under his belt so he would qualify for a pension and other significant perks. Appeasing the "black community" with this bogus "prosecution" was a major part of Nifong's re-election strategy. This was ALL ABOUT Nifong's "personal enrichment".
The 80-some faculty at Duke may be on the phones to their lawyers, too. They may still have culpability for their published letter.
We’ll Clinton lied to the American people and loss his law license and he is making millions for speeches, go figure.
“The only favorable mention of Mr. Nifong on the internet is his own website.”

I see the mods have struck again — News of the verdict pulled out of all news categories except for those reserved for a personal vanity: “Your Opinion/Questions”
Unfortunately, this kind of conduct happens every day. In Santa Cruz California, I was arrested and held without makeable bail for a month because a judge said so, but without a warrant and without any probable cause. The deputy D.A. that prosecuted personally had dinner with the judge at his home. I sued, of course, and won, but no one went to jail or was even disbarred, although the head d.a. at the time died later prematurely, so there is judgment day at least. In discovery, the cops/d.a. withheld facts that would have led to my immediate release. They knew I was innocent.
I don’t excuse any of it, but much of this inexplicable behavior, like Nifongs, is due to a fairly common mental illness that usually goes undiagnosed because of the seeming affability of the afflicted. It’s called paranoid personality disorder. Watch “Caine Mutiny” and read up on this affliction if you want to understand seemingly inexplicable behavior. It is far more common an affliction than most people realize.
Oh, that same d.a., when he drove drunk down the wrong side of the road one night, the cops drove him home. He was forever beholding to them after that.
I’ve lived here in the Triangle for the past five months (along the I-40 corridor in south Durham), and it’s really not that bad. The economy is really booming with Research Triangle Park next door, and this end of town has a lot of nice neighborhoods and good amenities. But I see what you mean about certain parts of Durham proper. Any city that proudly has signs up denoting part of downtown as the “Government Services District” makes me wonder.

“to....”
Given the history of the party, Member of the House of Representatives.
The Courts will have no choice but to allow them.
Normally I'm not a big fan of 'making example' punishments, but in this case it must be done. Every prosecutor from coast to coast simply has to be shown that if they try to railroad an innocent defendant and they get caught the penalties will be sure, swift, and sever.
Prosecutors have an immense amount of power and they must be shown that if they do not faithfully execute their duties they'll come to a very, very bad end.
Nifong must be disbarred, sued civilly until he's ruined, and then cast into a very dark prison for a very, very long time.
There simply is no other choice.

Ladies and gentelemen, we have a new Democratic Party Presidential candidate.
Won’t civil law suits be coming?
Too bad we can’t get the corrupt DC politicians the same way. Shall we throw out a dozen or so names? Who should head the list?
Or Obama’s choice for Attorney General...
Hopefully he’s disbarred immediately and then let the civil suits begin.
