That is the headline on Drudge and all he has for now. Since Matt is undoubtedly in bed on the East Coast, we can probably thank Andrew Breitbart.
The immigration bill is on the brink of collapse in the Senate. Let's hope for some more developments soon.
Got it. I left a message for “my” very senior senator Lousenberg D-NJ
Actually got through via the Capitol Switchboard (202)224-3121, but it rang about ten times. She’s a grouchy lady, I’ll tell ya.
Patched me through to Osama Mama’s office, which queued me into voicemail.
Remember to be polite and not anonymous. In the case of that dimwit, I took on a “Seminar” approach and complained about the lot of local unionized steelworkers and contractors.
“Jorge had his eyes opened after his speech in Georgia last week. Someone put a bug in his ear to STFU and close the border.”
How so? All I see backpedaling on is about the attack on us for not being real Americans. Yet we are the ones asking for the laws to be upheld. Ironic.
Please explain why you feel this is the case. In fact if this dies this afternoon, the word from Senate staff is they will bring it back. They want to ram this down our throats THAT BADLY. And you are telling me that El Jefe Jorge will not sign this if it showed up on his desk in July/August?
I don’t believe it.
Don’t forget to call Menendez’s office and let them know you are watching and want to send him back to corrupt Hudson County or wherever the FBI can send him.
He’s one of the writers of this scam.
You lost me Jeff. Why would you complain about union workers? They have as much if not more to lose if this Shamnesty Plus goes through.
As do we all.
"It looks like we have reached a critical juncture re the hearings on S 1348. Majority Leader Reid is anxious to cut off debate on the bill ASAP. It looks like there will be a vote on 5 proposed amendments that have been presented by both sides. Following that vote it is likely to be another vote on cloture. Reid has threatened to pull the bill if closure fails again. This would be the best we could hope for.
So please call your two senators as many times as you can over the next hour and strongly urge them to vote against cloture. That's all you need to say. Please also call Senator McConnell of Kentucky and Senator Lott of Mississippi and ask them to do likewise.
If you do not already have their numbers, call the Senate switchboard: 202-224-3121
Please follow through on this, we are at a critical juncture. If the bill is dropped by the Senate our summer could be a pleasant one. Good luck"
Which may be another reason why Reid let the Dorgan amendment be considered again, i.e., to placate the unions on the guest worker program.
Crazy idea, but why don’t we just enforce laws already in place instead of enacting new cobbled up atrocities like this “immigration bill”?
No doubt about that. But he didn't try three times to ramrod Social Security reform in the face of merely tepid Rat opposition.
This is something else altogether.
George Putnam has been saying that for over three decades.
Sessions is the *only* Senator who's done several point-by-point critiques and debunkings of this abomination.
As I said elsewhere, yesterday he was laughing at the insanity of the thing, making a mockery of it.
BTTT
“Just saw this commercial on FOX in NY from Texas Employers for Immigration Reform site. (http://txeir.org/default.aspx). Theyre pushing back bigtime.

I had on FOX News this morning and saw that commercial 4 or 5 times (in North Carolina)!
Their problem is the WOMB, the K reproduction strategy. That inevitably means malthusian war/disease/famine. Being catholic, “moral prudence”/family planning is verboten. Thus they breed like flies with nino/nina seeing the land of GOLD as the estados unitos on the TV.
I was in mexico/acapulco for 4 months(arch’l field trip)in 1970-71. Funny incident : in bar sipping cervesa and this guy next to me had an AF sargeant’s uniform on. First he brags about his 5 kids, then I asked him : how many airplanes in your fleet? Oh, 2 piper cubs, to patrol 500 miles of coastline...the whole mexican story in a nutshell...
good...shame we have to lean on our milquetoast senators..
A set up. I don't trust the limousine liberal, power hungry democrats nor the filthy rich big business fat-cat republicans who are repulsed by the working stiffs that pay the bills.
This effort could be enough to redeem years of Cantwell uselessness.
Well, maybe not. But it would be a good start.
