US opens door to millions of Muslims
American Thinker's Blog ^ | May 18 | James Lewis

The proposed immigration deal will throw open our doors to increased immigration from Muslim lands, not just Mexico. From the US State Department website: "The fourth and most recent wave of Muslim immigration (into the US) has come after 1965, the year President Lyndon Johnson sponsored an immigration bill that repealed the longstanding system of quotas by national origin. Under the new system, preferences went to relatives of U.S. residents and those with special occupational skills needed in the United States. The new law was a signal act in American history, making it possible for the first time since the early part of the 20th century for someone to enter the country regardless of his or her national origin. After 1965, immigration from Western Europe began to decline significantly, with a corresponding growth in the numbers of persons arriving from the Middle East and Asia. In this era more than half of the immigrants to America from these regions have been Muslim." (italics added)

Someday in the not too distant future there will be nobody left to pine for the good old days of plain Hispanic immigrants!!!

I've been pining for 'plain Hispanic' immigrants forever. It's new improved socialist Hispanic 'illegal' immigrants that worry me. They are converting to Islam in great numbers!

http://www.hispanicmuslims.com/piedad/_hola.html

[snip]According to Ronaldo Cruz, director of the Secretariat for Hispanic Affairs of the Conference of Catholic Bishops in the United States, there are approximately 100,000 Hispanics who leave the Catholic Church every year. "These people are in search of something. They do not seek to adapt but rather to affirm themselves," he says.

According to the testimonies of converts, the reason may lie in the uneasy reception that they get as they arrive in the United States on the part of the Catholic Church, which is an American style, with a tendency to be impersonal and too hierarchical. There is also the question about the saints. I ask Juan: "What is the problem presented by the saints?" "In the Bible," he explains, "it is stated that we should not venerate idols. Neither Jesus, nor Mary, nor Muhammad, i.e. nobody other than God."

"There are too many diversions in Catholicism. It is a waste of time," explains Guadalupe Martinez, 26, who converted to Islam in 1997. "In Islam, one does not need to pass through the telephone operator to obtain a number. Islam is the direct line to God."

Brief Historical Flashback... African-Americans give claim to glorious Muslim Africa. In the same manner, so do Latino Americans regarding their connections with Spain. It is a return towards what they regard as their true culture, i.e the Spain of VIIIth to the XVth century, after its conquest by the Moors. "The majority of those which came to Latin America and to the Caribbean came from Andalusia, in Spain. They were the so-called "Moriscos," those Moors that were forced to convert to Christianity.

I trust Bush somewhat on National Security - the fact that the border is wide open nearly 6 years after 9/11 is astounding. Other than that... The thing is the elected elites in DC don’t have to worry about the things most of us do - they either have guards or enough money to wall themselves off from the hordes. We really could end up like Brazil, with wealthy and poor, and little in between. It’s a disgrace.

We need to kick out Congressmen who have betrayed their constituencies, since thats the one thing they care about most.

Of what benefit will "kicking out" a Congressman or Senator be who have betrayed their constituencies? They will be replaced by another body who will do the bidding of the party that is controlled by unelected people that answer to the corporate interests, foreign and domestic.

If we are to have any major impact on the gang of 535 + 1, then we have to "kick out" the parties!!!

Thanks for putting up Michelle’s link. That article was the main reason I started investigating this! And nothing I’ve found was good.

Doesn’t matter which people have more access to the U.S. by this bill, Muslims or Mexicans, they will all vote demorat and we can kiss the GOP and democracy (if this is what it is called) goodbye.

Did we ever get to vote on whether or not we wanted to import a bunch of muslims? Has there been any public debate about it??

Talk about suicidal--once muslims reach a certain percentage anywhere, there's no end to their anti-Western-civilization demands, threats, and violence.

If we were determined to destroy our civilization, this is the sort of immigration bill we'd devise.

I believe this phenomenon is called the “law of unintended consequences”.
The chain reaction of events that occurs when the idiots we have allowed to represent us in Washington D.C., pass laws as easily as they pass gas; not knowing (or caring about)the end results.

I never knew that American citizenship could be bought so cheaply. It is so cheap that perhaps it isn't anything that has any value after all. So on that note bring our young men and women home there is no longer anything here to defend. We are o longer a souvereign nation we are a giant corporation where cheap labor is more important than anything.

Our El Presidente has decided, along with the scum in the Senate, that there are some laws which need to be obeyed and some which don't. Of course who you are determines which laws are which. What fools we all are for obeying any laws of this land. Former Presidents have given us the welfare state that we pay for, they have given us amnesty before and promised that it would be a one time deal and the problem would be fixed, and now this one gives us another fool proof fix. We are on the verge of something cataclysmic and something is going to have to break. I pray it is not something that destroys this once great nation.

There will be a one-world government.

The only people who still believe in national sovereignty and believe that if we can just get the right people elected we can have the America of years gone by are the people who stupidly trudge off to work every day, pay thier taxes, keep thier noses clean, and play by the rules.

The folks who run this world are light years ahead of the average sucker who has just been living his life with blinders on while our country has been rotting away.

The fix is in; the deed is done; and now that all the pieces are basically in place it's safe for the real players to come out in the open and put the finishing touches on thier utopian fantasies.

There will be a one-world government; countries and nations as we know them will cease to exist; and part of the transistion as far as America is concerned is the forcing of third-world parasites on the suckers in this country who will have to pay for everything and if a terrorist or two slips through, well that's just collateral damage and worth the bombing or shooting or slaughter to get the utopia in place.

Call me crazy; that's okay. I do know one thing: there is an agenda that is working itself out with this immigration fiasco and it has nothing to do with protecting America, it has nothing to do with elected officials keeping thier constitutional vows, and it has nothing to do with the well-being of the law-abiding, tax-paying citizens of this country. This immigration bill is the way it is because it benefits someone and that someone ain't any of us.

Of what benefit will "kicking out" a Congressman or Senator be who have betrayed their constituencies?

Congressmen like all politicians, only care about getting reelected. Thats their most important mission in life. Once we start "kicking out" congressmen regardless of who they are replaced by, they will get the message and try to do what it takes to remain in office.

The mindset of reelecting incumbents has to go. In the free market we buy products that best suit our needs and do not buy brands/products that have failed us before. This keeps manufacturers on their feet as they all try to sell us the best product they can make. Democracy is the political equivalent of the free market.

The 2008 election will be the last chance to save this country. Any slappy congressman, right or left, who betrays the interests of this country on the immigration issue needs to be booted out. Unless there is a major statement made by the voters in the next election on this issue, it will be too late because the demographics are rapidly shifting in the wrong direction...and adding 20 million Democrats to the rolls ain’t gonna help matters. I’m so disgusted right now with the direction of the country.

Like I said on another thread you can't point to a single piece of immigration legislation since the enactment of the catastrophic '65 Immigration Act where the border enforcement folks haven't wound up getting the proverbial shaft. Period.

The chickens are finally coming home to roost.
