In a hell of a lot better position than we'd have been if the Dems had been in charge all that time, whether you want to believe it or not.
ouch
I have not worked for him yet, but I have been talking him up. He is my favorite.
The gauntlet has been laid down. But look to the anti-illegal GOP candidate down in the Carolinas who won the GOP nomination - and the Dem nomination by write-ins. This WILL be the big issue in 2008. And it WILL re-align politics if we drive it.
That’s their secret weapon, and also the reason why they’ve been getting so sloppy in re: their principles. They know how utterly repulsed we are by the idea of the Democrats holding power in this country.
They can just rest on their laurels because they know that as long as the Demon Rats continue to spout their garbage, the GOP can take it easy and not worry about actually giving us ANYTHING we want because we’ll vote from them anyway to keep the ‘Rats out of power. Now, however, they’ve strayed so far from conservative principle that there’s nothing to keep us from switching parties - they’re both equally sh__ty.
I’m w/you on that. 17!!!!
Wake up, SuziQ. The GOP has failed and is failing to do something about the situation, and, in fact, is now taking a hard left turn. The GOP is quickly becoming part of the problem, not the solution.
Asses in elephants’ clothing.
For a moment there I thought was reading the Communist Manifesto! Holy Cow! All of them!!
The Republicans should have used the “nuclear option” when they had the chance.
Their refusal to do so showed them to be spineless and nothing less than “business as usual” politicians.
The “base” stayed home, and now we are all screwed by these chumps who let us all down, and are now contributing to the ruining of this Nation in ways that cannot be undone.
“Et cetera. Et cetera. And so forth.” As Yul Brynner said in “The King and I.”
I’m certain that many of the observations I’ve read have been correct. Astute and correct, for that matter. But it’s all so defeatist I can hardly stand it. It makes no sense to surrender the cause in May of 2007. To do that is to ensure a democrat president in 2008. You know, the one we’re going to help elect if we’re not really careful.
I recognize that we’re facing serious hurdles and uncertain challenges. Every one of our candidates is flawed to one degree or another. The MSM is already working overtime to convince US that we haven’t got a prayer in ‘08; that the war in Iraq can only be lost; that our economy is doomed, that our party is in shambles, and on and on. Saddest part of all is that so many of us are listening. To the enemy, no less.
“Not prudent at this time,” folks. Not prudent at all.
1. The war.
13. Corruption
17 Failure to run conservative candidates
20. Other
The Republicans in power deserve to lose. In far too many ways they have become like the Democrats. The sad part is they pull down the country with their fall. We all suffer for their incompetence.
The Bushbot scapegoat for the disaster of 2006 is the mythical “all or nothing conservative who stayed home”. I see no reason why this would not work in 2008 as well.
the supreme court is the prize. without it, there will never be an advance of conservative ideals. Those old lib codgers cannot hold out much longer. If the libs hold the senate and presidency then the battle is lost for at least a decade.
If we can find a way to unite behind our common goals, we can beat satan once again.
The following (next) paragraph is pulled from the speech made by Patton to the troops... given to the Third Army on June 5th, 1944, the eve of the Allied invasion of France... operation code-named “Overlord”.. I think every single person that reads on FR should read it and remember the America that makes us teary-eyed. We should all remember every American hero that died on some flea-infested sand hell somewhere in the Pacific or endured the coldest of European winters, while fighting against a desperate and dangerous German machine. An humbling number of Countrymen have given everything, so that we can live the dream they so wanted to endure.
“Men, this stuff that some sources sling around about America wanting out of this war, not wanting to fight, is a crock of bullshit. Americans love to fight, traditionally. All real Americans love the sting and clash of battle.
You are here today for three reasons. First, because you are here to defend your homes and your loved ones. Second, you are here for your own self respect, because you would not want to be anywhere else. Third, you are here because you are real men and all real men like to fight. When you, here, everyone of you, were kids, you all admired the champion marble player, the fastest runner, the toughest boxer, the big league ball players, and the All-American football players. Americans love a winner. Americans will not tolerate a loser. Americans despise cowards. Americans play to win all of the time. I wouldn’t give a hoot in hell for a man who lost and laughed. That’s why Americans have never lost nor will ever lose a war; for the very idea of losing is hateful to an American.”
George Patton
I remember when that traitor jimmah catah was president. I remember the only truly profitable business at the time was the Bar business. People were drinking to forget the hell of working and trying to pay bills. That ******* actually said that, “The best days of America are behind us”. He was bracing America to come to terms with Americans having to live without many of the customs that make up societal norms. We would never again be “The Land of Plenty”!
Reagan reminded America who she was and where she came from. He reminded us of our Greatness, Compassion and Fortitude. He believed in America; he loved America; and when challenged by the “doom and gloom” dims, Independents, and Republican malcontents as to America’s future... he smiled, shook his head and said, “You ain’t seen nuttn’ yet”!

AMNESTY is the final straw.
Between Bush and the Congress they did it to themselves.
>2 Failure to secure the borders.
>3 Amnesty.
>6 Big spending.
2 and 3 with 6 trailing far behind.
all of the above. I will not vote for any of the current candidates.
Just take your pitiful little excuses, and go away! Fact is, you live in Massachusetts, and you damned sure ain’t living there because freedom is an important issue in your life! Hell, I really hope you get really wealthy from compromising your butt, just in time for Hilary to come along, and tax your ASS into bankruptcy!
Hell, if you are really so impoverished that you can’t afford a Greyhound ticket out of Massachusetts, just let me know!
