Wake up, SuziQ. The GOP has failed and is failing to do something about the situation, and, in fact, is now taking a hard left turn. The GOP is quickly becoming part of the problem, not the solution.

I agree that the GOP needs a broad boot to the butt, but I fear that this constant drumbeat of negativity will only lead to what we had in 1992, unless we can rally around a really STRONG candidate who will then carry Congressional candidates along on his coat-tails. The only one I see with the ability to do that is Fred Thompson. I just hope that, by the time he announces, conservatives haven’t worked themselves into such an anti-GOP frenzy that they will be unwilling to give him a chance.
