The text messaging so called “poll” has Paul way ahead.

So I believe that supports your distrust of the media and/or any polls.

Both are tools of manipulation. Do you believe Paul won?

I can't support him anymore than I would Ted Stevens.

Too bad. The rest of us will miss you at the polls on election day, 2008.

Yes, we have a generational, century-long confrontation on our hands with the IslamoNazis.

God help us.

Cato rated Democrat Governors Bill Richardson and Tom Vilsack better fiscally in 2006 than Mitt Romney.

Rush’s show and his books and the Limbaugh Letter are the modern equivalent of the writings and publications of Bill Buckley.

Without the group Falwell help found there would have likely been no Rush Radio show as you know it. If Rush was so great why did he support Poppy? Poppy Bush was anything but Conservative. Poppy began tearing down the Reagan gains almost imediately and started us on a military downturn his son is still taking us down. Giving Atta Boys to Republicans because they aren't Liberal Dems doesn't help Conservatism.

First, online/message polls are nuts. But, if it’s accurate, then this country is a surrender monkey haven beyond France in its worst.

If you check the Videos of the Judge at the link, you'll find that the recoil isn't that bad.

I agree that the election cycle started far too early, this time. I hope that something can reverse the trend--maybe it's partly caused by the unusual 'open election'. (No President or Vice-President running.)

But as I see it, as long as Fred Thompson is getting the media attention as a possible candidate, people are going to get tired of him, just as they get tired of the others. And as I said, if he is avoiding the risks of gaffes and miscalculations, that very fact will make me think less of his courage and intelligence. What would you think of one of the declared candidates who didn't participate in the debate, for fear of making a gaffe? What do we think of the Democrats who refuse to participate in a Fox-sponsored debate, for fear that someone might ask them a tough question?

All this said, I'm with the others who are chanting "Thompson/Hunter". Right now, it sounds like our best bet.

I have never been accused of being average...

In all due respect to your Mom, I dont normally call on her to suggest a win or place on a Ballot...

Ron Paul isn’t a Republican...he’s a Libertarian who lies to his constituients by saying he’s a Republican. He didn’t belong ont that stage tonite. He should be the keynote speaker at this years Libertarian Party Convention.

Oh I see and Reagan should have stayed a DEM right?

My impression was that Reagan changed parties out of conviction, while Ron Paul changed from Libertarian to Republican out of convenience while his views stayed the same--easier to get elected running as a Republican.

Ted Stevens is in AK and a long way from FRed and TN in distance, life style and philosophy FRed is not up to your “standard” and yet you support Rudi or Ron Paul ofr some other libera, err progressive...

LOL I'll write in my dog before I vote Rudy, Romney or McCain. I could if they won likely support Huckabee, Tancredo, or Hunter based on their records. My first choice is Ron Paul. Also I would have to see who the Constitution Party runs and consider that person based on record as well. I stated my reasons for not supporting Fred. I think he's a good man but would not make a good POTUS though based on his record.

My mother was in Hunter’s district. She says he’s mean. That means he doesn’t have a chance of winning.

Talk about mean! Read the book:
