Top Al Qaeda operative taken into US custody
10 minutes ago
The United States has taken into custody a top al-Qaeda operative who plotted to assassinate Pakistan's President Pervez Musharraf and other officials, a Pentagon spokesman said Friday.
Abd al Hadi al-Iraqi, who was taken to the US navy prison at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba about a week ago, was intercepted while trying to reach Iraq to take over Al-Qaeda operations and to plot attacks from there against western targets outside Iraq, Pentagon spokesman Bryan Whitman said.
He is "one of Al-Qaeda's highest ranking and senior operatives at the time of his detention.

We are one signature away from ending this war - Barrack Hussein Obama
By whose count?
Get back on your plane and fly somewhere Mr. Barack Hussein. You don’t represent the Illinois I live in. And neither does your buddy Mr. Durbin.

Wouldn’t good old free enterprise take care of this little problem with muslim/koshered food?
There will always be vendors who come forth to fill a market niche, like the kosher foods for Jews.

Wouldn’t the “truth in advertising” take care of this?
We already have provisions to take care of this problem, unless I have just completely missed the point.
It sounds like they’re just trying to get even more special treatment.

No question about it. Hebrews don’t require help from the government to conduct their affairs.

The rest of your post is useful information, but this one is just silly
You only write that because you are ill informed of the stages of Islamization. Please read what happens, worldwide, when Muslims reach 5% of the population.
The following is a description (slightly modified) from Dr. Peter Hammond's book: Slavery, Terrorism and Islam: The Historical Roots and Contemporary Threat. www.frontline.org.za/books_videos/sti.htm
As long as the Muslim population remains around 1% of any given country they will be regarded as a peace-loving minority and not as a threat to anyone. In fact, they may be featured in articles and films, stereotyped for their colorful uniqueness.
At 2% and 3% they begin to proselytize from other ethnic minorities and disaffected groups with major recruiting from the jails and among street gangs [Europe, Australia, USA and Japan]. Six percent of US prison inmates are Muslim. Like any other minority, they wont integrate, but work to build their own separate community.
From 5% on they exercise an inordinate influence in proportion to their percentage of the population.
They will push for the introduction of halaal (clean by Islamic standards) food, thereby securing food preparation jobs for Muslims. They will increase pressure on supermarket chains to feature it on their shelves (remember Target stores) -- along with threats for failure to comply. (United States).
At this point, they will work to get the ruling government to allow them to rule themselves under Sharia, the Islamic Law. The ultimate goal of Islam is not to convert the world, but to establish Sharia law over the entire world.
When Muslims reach 10% of the population, they will increase lawlessness as a means of complaint about their conditions. (Paris car-burnings). Any non-Muslim action that offends Islam will result in uprisings and threats.
After reaching 20% expect hair-trigger rioting, jihad militia formations, sporadic killings and church and synagogue burning (India, Mindanao, Philippines and Israel).
At 40% you will find widespread massacres, chronic terror attacks and ongoing militia warfare [Indonesia].
From 60% you may expect unfettered persecution of non-believers and other religions, sporadic ethnic cleansing (genocide), use of Sharia Law as a weapon and Jizya (infidel tax). (Sudan, Kosovo, Lebanon and Egypt).
After 80% expect State run ethnic cleansing and genocide [Sudan, Western Papua (New Guinea), Biafra, Turkey and North Nigeria].
100% will usher in the peace of "Dar-es-Salaam" - House of Peace - as in Saudi Arabia, Libya and Yemen.

I think this is the guy. Big Catch.
Abd al-Hadi al-Iraqi is one of Usama bin Ladens top global deputies, personally chosen by bin Laden to monitor al Qaeda operations in Iraq. Al-Hadi was the former Internal Operations Chief for al Qaeda. He has been associated with numerous attacks in Afghanistan and Pakistan and has been known to facilitate communication between al Qaeda in Iraq and al Qaeda. Al-Hadi rose to the rank of Major in Saddam Husseins army before moving to Afghanistan to fight against the Soviet Union. He has a reputation for being a skilled, intelligent, and experienced commander and is an extremely well-respected al Qaeda leader. He has commanded numerous terrorist training camps in Afghanistan. Al-Hadi is reportedly still in contact with Usama bin Laden.

See my #54 — your original post left the impression of a simple anti-fraud measure. If there’s more to the story, you’d probably better at least hint to that if/when you use the same posting elsewhere.

I did -- I'm trying to offer constructive criticism here. The part of your post that says:
Obama sponsors Illinois Senate Bill 750 creating the "Halal Food Act," providing for inspections by the Department of Agriculture to ensure that all food labeled Halal is prepared according to Islamic law.
Doesn't offer any kind of insight as to why this is a bad thing. All I'm doing is suggesting that you add something, before you use that post again, to point out there's more than meets the eye so that the next guy doesn't make the same interpretation I did.
