Will FR embrace socialism to make way for Rudy Giuliani as a Republican presidential candidate?
vanity | April 21, 2007 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 04/21/2007 6:42:25 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

We've got some real challenges facing us. FR was established to fight against government corruption, overstepping, and abuse and to fight for a return to the limited constitutional government as envisioned and set forth by our founding fathers in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution and other founding documents.

One of the biggest cases of government corruption, overstepping and abuse that I know of is its disgraceful headlong slide into a socialist hell. Our founders never intended for abortion to be the law of the land. And they never intended the Supreme Court to be a legislative body. They never intended God or religion to be written out of public life. They never intended government to be used to deny God's existence or for government to be used to force sexual perversions onto our society or into our children's education curriculum. They never intend for government to disarm the people. They never intended for government to set up sanctuary cities for illegals. They never intended government to “rule” over the people and or to take their earnings or private property or to deprive them of their constitutional rights to free speech, free religion, private property, due process, etc. They never intended government to seize the private property of private citizens through draconian asset forfeiture laws or laws allowing government to take private property from lawful owners to give to developers. Or to seize wealth and redistribute it to others. Or to provide government forced health insurance or government forced retirement systems.

All of the above are examples of ever expanding socialism and tyranny brought to us by liberals/liberalism.

FR fights against the liberals/Democrats in all of these areas and always will. Now if liberalism infiltrates into the Republican party and Republicans start promoting all this socialist garbage, do you think that I or FR will suddenly stop fighting against it? Do you think I'm going to bow down and accept abortionism, feminism, homosexualism, global warming, illegal alien lawbreakers, gun control, asset forfeiture, socialism, tyranny, totalitarianism, etc, etc, etc, just so some fancy New York liberal lawyer can become president from the Republican party?

Do you really expect me to do that?

No Jim gets it.

A half conservative is a failure, a liberal. A social conservative who wants to take your money and spend it for things that government doesn’t need to do is a liberal hiding behind a veneer of social conservatism. An ‘economic’ conservative who say he is a ‘social’ liberal favors a society that will always need socialism to clean up the drug addled mess that his ‘social’ liberalism creates. Jim gets it. Do you?

I admit your post makes me laugh.
(and not because you are wrong or I am being sarcastic)

The problem with social liberalism is that it leads logically to fiscal liberalism (or communism if you prefer)an authoritarianism.

For example, government should not be involved in the contract of labor between employer and employee. This should mean that a company may choose to cover employees and their spouses in a man-woman relationship in a health care plan. This same company may not wish to cover a gay domestic partnership citing increased occurrence health problems among the gay population. In Rudy’s past positions, the government must intervene and force the company to offer the coverage, to “protect” the equality of gays.

We also have audio of Rudy saying that the government has an “obligation” to pay for poor women’s abortions that are a “constitutional right”. That is good evidence of a collectivist streak, as well as something that should be anathema to any stripe conservative.

Sent to JRobinson: “Only if by national heritage you’re referring to the Salem witch trials.”

Your clock is ticking, are you too stupid to realize it?

IIRC = If I remember correctly.

Leviticus - the part of the Law that punished a man greater for causing the death of another man’s wife than it did for causing his wife to miscarry.

Then you're all resigning our country to at least 4 years of a more dangerous Clinton regime in a more dangerous world.

Hillary as Prez and Bill as "Ambassador to the world..."? Gimme a break.

VOTE AGAINST! Otherwise you are aiding and abetting the Left.

Since I have already pointed out that this isn’t about religion, Leviticus is a moot argument. Next.

If you don't care about Life,Liberty and property you are not a conservative.

Any one of the other candidates include McCain, would be better on National Security than Rudy. And I don't believe he is a fiscal conservative. Any one from NYC can't have a clue what fiscal conservatism is.

Yes Life is a huge issue and I wished it concerned you that we have murdered over 50 million of our citizens, but that might be too much to ask. But why ditch atleast 30 % of the Republican voters because you think its such a small problem?

Rudy is such a “law and order” conservative that he fought the feds all the way to the supreme court to maintain NY’s sanctuary city policy. When he lost, he disobeyed the law still!

So much for law and order.

And he was all for providing services to illegal immigrants an their children.

So much for “fiscal conservatism”

Where does supporting government funding for abortion for poor women fall on the old collectivist scale?
