Will FR embrace socialism to make way for Rudy Giuliani as a Republican presidential candidate?

We've got some real challenges facing us. FR was established to fight against government corruption, overstepping, and abuse and to fight for a return to the limited constitutional government as envisioned and set forth by our founding fathers in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution and other founding documents.
One of the biggest cases of government corruption, overstepping and abuse that I know of is its disgraceful headlong slide into a socialist hell. Our founders never intended for abortion to be the law of the land. And they never intended the Supreme Court to be a legislative body. They never intended God or religion to be written out of public life. They never intended government to be used to deny God's existence or for government to be used to force sexual perversions onto our society or into our children's education curriculum. They never intend for government to disarm the people. They never intended for government to set up sanctuary cities for illegals. They never intended government to rule over the people and or to take their earnings or private property or to deprive them of their constitutional rights to free speech, free religion, private property, due process, etc. They never intended government to seize the private property of private citizens through draconian asset forfeiture laws or laws allowing government to take private property from lawful owners to give to developers. Or to seize wealth and redistribute it to others. Or to provide government forced health insurance or government forced retirement systems.
All of the above are examples of ever expanding socialism and tyranny brought to us by liberals/liberalism.
FR fights against the liberals/Democrats in all of these areas and always will. Now if liberalism infiltrates into the Republican party and Republicans start promoting all this socialist garbage, do you think that I or FR will suddenly stop fighting against it? Do you think I'm going to bow down and accept abortionism, feminism, homosexualism, global warming, illegal alien lawbreakers, gun control, asset forfeiture, socialism, tyranny, totalitarianism, etc, etc, etc, just so some fancy New York liberal lawyer can become president from the Republican party?
Do you really expect me to do that?

Absolutely. But it does no good to think the battle is going to be won quickly or definitively any time soon. Hence the need for a full court press, even to make what little progress we have to date.

FR at its best rises above the rabble. It's a discussion site where we win debates on the merits of the topic, on the points. Except with many of the Rudy boosters, there was no debate.
They would make nonsensical claim after nonsensical claim that would be shot down like clay targets. Rudy is really pro-life. Rudy is pro-gun. He's for states rights. He'll point strict constructionists.
And when we got done shooting all those down with sourced links to Rudy's past and present positions, what happened?
Why, the clay targets re-assembled themselves and flung themselves right back into the sky.
Time and time again. It was like Groundhog Day, except with Rudy talking points instead of a fat rodent.
And even that wasn't so bad, except when Fred started making rumbles about entering the race, the Rudy boosters were no longer content to just try and beat down the Reagan legacy to try and make Rudy look better. Now, they started spreading pure nonsense about Fred. Fred's a stalking horse for McCain. Fred's in favor of CFR. Fred's pro-choice.
The last one was, IMO, the final straw in the coffins of the worst of the Rudy boosters. Where the hell do they get off trying to paint Fred as pro-choice from an offhand comment from 1994, when Fred has a 0 NARAL rating and Rudy has a 100 percent rating? The Rudy boosters apparently don't care about Rudy's incredible support of abortion "rights" - but have the nerve to get after someone else's pro-life bona fides?
That's when I realized just how politically depraved so many Rudy boosters had become. They were becoming no better than the Clintonistas they said Rudy would save us from. Rank political hypocrisy was no longer a vice with them, but a virtue. And at that point, IMO, they left the conservative movement. And forfeited their standing to post on FR any longer.

How do you feel about losing the abortion debate here so badly, and having had it shown to you vividly how brutal and inhumane and animalistic the practice you support really is? I enjoy the open and frank exchange of ideas. I'm happier when folks disagree with me than when they agree. I'm kinda bad about never really posting to folks who agree with me, cuz I'm here for the debate.

By the way: You claim to love debate, but you chose to ignore Gelato's post in

The national budget must be balanced. The public debt must be reduced; the arrogance of the authorities must be moderated and controlled. Payments to foreign governments must be reduced, if the nation doesn’t want to go bankrupt. People must again learn to work, instead of living on public assistance.

You didn't like that, which is what triggered your premature exasperation.
As usual, you make an assumption and you do it constantly. I DID KNOW THAT and it wasn't premature.
So you admit to being a bit exasperated eh? Have you tried the decaf?
As for whether or not I 'know' MThatcher, that isn't even germane to the subject at hand.
Sure it is. You told me I don't 'know' you so I couldn't make a comment about. So the same applies to you knowing her.
You're only half clever. You were trying to divine my spiritual state when you truly don't know anything about me at all. Whether or not I know MThatcher personally, or at all is NOT germane, as all I NEED to know is how she behaved last night, her prior outburst(s) at JimRob and anyone else that torqued her off, and when dmw called her a 'crazy liberal' he had plenty of basis for that, because she left FR as many of these crazy FRiberals do. Her behavior was not defensible and you know that too.
If you wish to defend the indefensible,
I would NEVER defend your posts.
Straw man sparky. You were not asked to defend my posts.
MThatcher might invite you to high tea for your troubles.
Like I said, I don't communicate with her. It isn't necessarily about her.
Yes it is, because you made MThatcher an issue when you started lecturing dmw on how he was characterizing her. Stick to the subject at hand.
The same has been done to others.
So we're talking about others now? I thought what set off your alarm bells was somebody referring to MThatcher as a 'crazy liberal'?
This is a 'stand on principle' thread - yet, name calling, slurs, sarcasm is paramount and it's given a free pass. That's hypocrisy, IMO.
No, it's not hypocrisy, it's called politics, and as the saying goes, 'politics ain't beanbag', it isn't governed by the Marquis of Queensbury rules, it is catch-as-catch-can, and if you're looking for examples of name calling, slurs, sarcasm, etc., where were you when FR was being swamped and spammed on a daily basis by these now departed RudyBots who p*ssed all over what this website stands for, and our host who makes it all possible? You're quick to lash out when things don't seem to rise to your own personal level of gentlemanly conduct, but what you are conveniently forgetting is that the REAL conservatives, the ones who haven't sold out to Rudy and his gun-grabbing, abortions-for-all, special-rights-for-homos agenda, did NOT START THIS!
But by God, and with JimRob, the true conservatives on this website will damn well *finish* it. If you can't handle that, that's your problem.
Your giddiness about when conservative long-time freepers leave willingly or otherwise is very telling.
When I see former FRiberals who have been exposed as liberal-RINO-scum exiting or being banished from this website, you better believe it puts me in a good mood. I've seen enough of this stealth-liberal horse manure being slung around, and like many Freepers, I was always wondering in the back of my mind just how much patience JimRob was going to show those faux-'conservatives', and now he's cleaning house, and I back that 100 percent.
FR is being cleansed of the liberal stench that had slipped in more or less unawares, and that is a very good thing, and I couldn't be happier about it.

I wouldn't presume to speak for Jim, but why would you expect support of baby-killing and baby-killers to be welcome here?

I'm here for the debate. And the rest of us are here to advance the pro-God, pro-life, pro-family, pro-Constitution, pro-Bill of Rights, pro-gun, pro-limited government, pro-private property rights, pro-limited taxes, pro-capitalism, pro-national defense, pro-freedom, and-pro America conservative cause. This isn't a polite debating society. We have a mission here. Don't get in the way.
