Will FR embrace socialism to make way for Rudy Giuliani as a Republican presidential candidate?
vanity | April 21, 2007 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 04/21/2007 6:42:25 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

We've got some real challenges facing us. FR was established to fight against government corruption, overstepping, and abuse and to fight for a return to the limited constitutional government as envisioned and set forth by our founding fathers in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution and other founding documents.

One of the biggest cases of government corruption, overstepping and abuse that I know of is its disgraceful headlong slide into a socialist hell. Our founders never intended for abortion to be the law of the land. And they never intended the Supreme Court to be a legislative body. They never intended God or religion to be written out of public life. They never intended government to be used to deny God's existence or for government to be used to force sexual perversions onto our society or into our children's education curriculum. They never intend for government to disarm the people. They never intended for government to set up sanctuary cities for illegals. They never intended government to “rule” over the people and or to take their earnings or private property or to deprive them of their constitutional rights to free speech, free religion, private property, due process, etc. They never intended government to seize the private property of private citizens through draconian asset forfeiture laws or laws allowing government to take private property from lawful owners to give to developers. Or to seize wealth and redistribute it to others. Or to provide government forced health insurance or government forced retirement systems.

All of the above are examples of ever expanding socialism and tyranny brought to us by liberals/liberalism.

FR fights against the liberals/Democrats in all of these areas and always will. Now if liberalism infiltrates into the Republican party and Republicans start promoting all this socialist garbage, do you think that I or FR will suddenly stop fighting against it? Do you think I'm going to bow down and accept abortionism, feminism, homosexualism, global warming, illegal alien lawbreakers, gun control, asset forfeiture, socialism, tyranny, totalitarianism, etc, etc, etc, just so some fancy New York liberal lawyer can become president from the Republican party?

Do you really expect me to do that?

"I don't see what you see. I see Rudy as a social liberal, political conservative. He could end up being a great conservative president."

I see him as a social liberal, political liberal. He's the only Republican presidential contender in years that I could foresee (possibly) switching parties (to the Dem. side) while in office if it is politically advantageous. Based upon his record, I don't believe that he would fight for conservative principals, particularly if congress is controlled by the Democrats. He certainly wouldn't fight for conservative court nominees.

I like FR cuz I thought it was a sight where folks of all stripes were welcome to come and discuss issues.

You really haven't listened to a word Jim Robinson has said, have you.

I did not know this site is for social Cs only. I thought it was a place where political conservatism was welcome.

Gosh, I hate it when folks apply false labels to things to mislead.

But I doubt anyone can be a great conservative president while being socially liberal. It is an oxymoron.

Perhaps you might find out in the future you're very, very wrong about that.

And if/when that happens, as I'm betting it will -- the folks here who are predicting the end of the world will seem so out of touch it will be hard to ever take them seriously again.

>>>>>This is a line in the sand being drawn here. Ya'll are betting all or nothing on Rudy being a demon.

And JimRob finally drew that line in the sand. Not that it hasn't always been there, just that its been covered up for TOO long. On one side of that line are us conservatives. On the other side are the RudyBoosters and liberal RudyLoons. You told me the other day, in the end you'd vote for Rudy. So which side of that line do you stand?

Rudy is a liberal gun grabbing abortionist. In the eyes of conservatives that makes him evil. But I don't think he's a demon. Well, on second thought .....

>>>>He could end up being a great conservative president.

You're delusional.

” You mean ‘social conservatives’, of course. ‘Political conservaties’ now are being pushed away.

I did not know this site is for social Cs only. I thought it was a place where political conservatism was welcome. “

Oh bull. The only people trying to divide conservatism into different factions are the rudy boosters.

I think some of the absent freepers were banned because they were tearing down conservative candidates to make their liberal one look good.

The rest left on their own as a sort of a hissy fit, seeking martyrdom, I guess.

In the past, we welcomed everyone, even folks who disagreed with us.

Certainly, the tone has recently changed . . .

I’ve decided to change the way I deal with you. From now on, I’m going to simply tell you this: I’m praying for you, that you’ll shake loose of the deceptions that have taken hold of your mind, and the bitterness that has invaded your chest cavity.

If standing for what I believe in makes me hopelessly out of touch, I will wear that moniker proudly. You see I will not be hopelessly out of touch with my Lord, and ultimately His is the only opinion that counts.

I am not afraid to look foolish before men. I only seek to honor my God.

Never ONCE have any of the Rudyphiles addressed the issues of him being willing to pay to murder his own grandchild and marching with child molestors. I keep asking, and they keep ignoring.
