We've got some real challenges facing us. FR was established to fight against government corruption, overstepping, and abuse and to fight for a return to the limited constitutional government as envisioned and set forth by our founding fathers in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution and other founding documents.
One of the biggest cases of government corruption, overstepping and abuse that I know of is its disgraceful headlong slide into a socialist hell. Our founders never intended for abortion to be the law of the land. And they never intended the Supreme Court to be a legislative body. They never intended God or religion to be written out of public life. They never intended government to be used to deny God's existence or for government to be used to force sexual perversions onto our society or into our children's education curriculum. They never intend for government to disarm the people. They never intended for government to set up sanctuary cities for illegals. They never intended government to rule over the people and or to take their earnings or private property or to deprive them of their constitutional rights to free speech, free religion, private property, due process, etc. They never intended government to seize the private property of private citizens through draconian asset forfeiture laws or laws allowing government to take private property from lawful owners to give to developers. Or to seize wealth and redistribute it to others. Or to provide government forced health insurance or government forced retirement systems.
All of the above are examples of ever expanding socialism and tyranny brought to us by liberals/liberalism.
FR fights against the liberals/Democrats in all of these areas and always will. Now if liberalism infiltrates into the Republican party and Republicans start promoting all this socialist garbage, do you think that I or FR will suddenly stop fighting against it? Do you think I'm going to bow down and accept abortionism, feminism, homosexualism, global warming, illegal alien lawbreakers, gun control, asset forfeiture, socialism, tyranny, totalitarianism, etc, etc, etc, just so some fancy New York liberal lawyer can become president from the Republican party?
Do you really expect me to do that?
You’re much prefer to slime FT now, before he even announces. You’re despicable, Evie. Despicable, but consistent. Divisive and disruptive.
There was a thread awhile back about a whole town that went down to the train tracks every year and mooned a train. Well, I found it disgusting and saw no humor in it. I was strongly put down for my lack of humor and old-fashioned viewpoint.
I think that was the closest I've ever felt to being 'attacked' on this website for my conservative values, that was, until the Rudy threads came along. In discussing Rudy's views on abortion I've been called a religious nutjob, among other names and even with name calling aside I've never been subjected to condescension and rudeness on FR aimed solely at my being a Christian who is against abortion.
The other day I was chastised for not being "pragmatic" like Rudy's supporters and that was like a WHAT? moment where I really felt I had somehow stumbled into some twilight zone hole in the universe and dumped into a DU thread without my knowing it.
Well, that's part of the ongoing intra-party struggle between Libertarians and social conservatives. The fact of the matter is that the two factions agree at least 80% of the time, and both oppose the gun-grabbing, homosexual special rights, and taxpayer-funded abortion views held by Giuliani and all the Democratic candidates.
I ain't interested in your interpretation. If you can't source that in it's full context, then stop bothering me with this issue.
Your original post and following statements should lead us all to recognize that Mr. Guliani is NOT the candidate of choice for our Conservative representation.
Instead of looking backwards, we need to be looking forward to supporting the Conservative Presidential candidate that can fight for our Conservative agenda. Make no mistake, and very simply put, do you want a candidate that will no doubt sell us all out for the sake of his ego?
Facts are facts, history is history, and Rudy Guliani has a ton of past history to answer for. Let’s not talk among ourselves about Mr. Guliani’s past. Let’s ask him for the truth. And then, when the truth is known, we can ask the next candidate for the truth.
Let us all ask for the truth about each candidate that claims to want to lead our Country. Our future depends on knowing who will lead.
I don’t really care what you think. I will do what I want to do. Its that whole freedom and liberty thingy....
Dunno. Badnarik was pro-gay marriage.
you apparently did not hang out on the crevo threads. I had vile things said about my personal character as well as general lack of intelligence for daring to believe God created the world. :)
Should it be "free" to support particular candidates like Obama or Hillary? Then why should it be "free" to support any other damned liberal? Like Giuliani.
Man I guess the heavy hitters for Giuliani are sleeping tonight. Nobody wants to exclaim that Giulian is not a liberal.
Look at his positions. They are indefensible to the conservative philosophy. He is a liberal.
AMEN.
Now that is informative. Kerry polling at 4% within 11 months of the election makes it clear that recent polls mean absolutely nothing.
You beat me to it. I guess we’ll see...
Troll, pointing out the candidate’s position on an issue of God-given, inalienable rights, such as free speech, is not “sliming.” It’s simply a desire for conservatives to open their eyes wide and pay attention to what is happening.
LOL!
BTW, Spiffy Land would be my homepage.
I’ll reserve and preserve my right to fight against any abortionist gun grabbing liberal that gets elected to the White House from either party. Thank you very much.
I just think most people are getting ready for work tomorrow, and the Giuliani people usually come out heavy during the workday. Check this thread tomorrow and they’ll be congratulating each other again.
Some of us are just sick of the arguments. It’s been going on all weekend, but I’m glad we had it in a single place instead of on twenty separate threads like we’ve been doing.
And the candidate that supports partial-birth abortion and special rights for homosexuals isn't a loon.
Riiiiiiigggghhhhht.
Answer my question... is CFR all you've got?
