Will FR embrace socialism to make way for Rudy Giuliani as a Republican presidential candidate?
vanity | April 21, 2007 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 04/21/2007 6:42:25 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

We've got some real challenges facing us. FR was established to fight against government corruption, overstepping, and abuse and to fight for a return to the limited constitutional government as envisioned and set forth by our founding fathers in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution and other founding documents.

One of the biggest cases of government corruption, overstepping and abuse that I know of is its disgraceful headlong slide into a socialist hell. Our founders never intended for abortion to be the law of the land. And they never intended the Supreme Court to be a legislative body. They never intended God or religion to be written out of public life. They never intended government to be used to deny God's existence or for government to be used to force sexual perversions onto our society or into our children's education curriculum. They never intend for government to disarm the people. They never intended for government to set up sanctuary cities for illegals. They never intended government to “rule” over the people and or to take their earnings or private property or to deprive them of their constitutional rights to free speech, free religion, private property, due process, etc. They never intended government to seize the private property of private citizens through draconian asset forfeiture laws or laws allowing government to take private property from lawful owners to give to developers. Or to seize wealth and redistribute it to others. Or to provide government forced health insurance or government forced retirement systems.

All of the above are examples of ever expanding socialism and tyranny brought to us by liberals/liberalism.

FR fights against the liberals/Democrats in all of these areas and always will. Now if liberalism infiltrates into the Republican party and Republicans start promoting all this socialist garbage, do you think that I or FR will suddenly stop fighting against it? Do you think I'm going to bow down and accept abortionism, feminism, homosexualism, global warming, illegal alien lawbreakers, gun control, asset forfeiture, socialism, tyranny, totalitarianism, etc, etc, etc, just so some fancy New York liberal lawyer can become president from the Republican party?

Do you really expect me to do that?

I can’t tell you how happy I was to read Jim Robinson’s post!! We had the same kind of debates when Schwarzenegger was running for gov. I am PROUD to say I supported McClintock all the way and tried to warn everyone about “Schwarzenkennedy” but Republicans were hungry for a win AND NOW JUST LOOK AT THIS MESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Did you know that MARIA SCHRIVER refuses to even live in the Gov’s mansion????? Not good enough for her and her kids. She runs the state from some compound in another part of the state.

JulieAnnie was SOOOOO liberal,,,that the Republicans wouldn’t even invite him to their Convention in ‘96.

For good reason, he is not one of us.

He doesn't even pretend to be, its all of these who lie about how he stands that try to make him more acceptable.

He said it himself, "if you don't like how I stand on guns, abortion, homosexuals, don't vote for me."

I won't.

The youths really dig the way Rooty’s eyes nearly bulge out of his skull every time a new thought crosses his mind. They think it’s wicked cool.

You've noticed that too?! I thought that I was the only one. I hate watching him on TV because every few sentences his eyes go wide open like a deer caught in the headlights. Once you notice it, you can't unnotice it.

Hey...that gives me an idea. How about getting a bunch of video of Giuliani and splicing together all the bug-eye parts to some sort of silly music. The more people see that, the more people will notice and be annoyed by this bizarre facial contortions and will not be able to unnotice them. We'd know that we've achieved our goal if he's giving a serious campaign speech, but every time he goes bug-eyed in the speech it draws more and more giggles from the crowd.

we routinely zot the liberal trolls who do so. Please tell me why we should allow people to come in here to trash our conservative candidates? -post 1590

I thought we zotted liberal trolls for being idiots like rosie o saying we dynamited world trade building 7. Plus trolls usually post 3 sentence vanities.

Criticism of hunter which was "no charisma", "duncan who ?", "can't win" was not idiotic and not zotted.

Exactly who are you supporting anyway ? The anti rudy gaggle of posters regularly trash rudy, mccain, romney, tommy thompson, brownback and huckabee. Only hunter, tancredo, and fred thompson seem to be ok but thompson may end up being too liberal also.

Well, if you can only see black and white without shades of grey, its gonna be a pretty empty world for you.

But, from all the years I’ve been here, I know that when someone resorts to calling you a liberal, then they pretty much ran out of intelligent debate.

Profanity - that violates the forum rules, no?

Yes, but a great many FReepers let a profane word or two fly from time to time. It's just going to happen in the heat of political discourse. I have observed that Jim Robinson and the mods rarely if ever ban FReepers for the sporadic and superficial violation of this rule.

But espousing liberalism? That profanity goes clear to the bone--to the utter marrow. That's filth of entirely different, far more befouling and destructive nature.

Well, the gov mansion in CA is, for lack of a better term, third-world.

But nicer than my house.

I know what ridicule I took for warning Californians over and over not to vote for Arnold.

Just like Rudy, Arnold didn't even have to lie. They were starstuck.

I've never liked Hannity since.

Rephrasing what you said doesn't change what you originally said.

They tend to vote for the sane middle of the conservative spectrum, a la Reagan, and IMO, Rudy.

Rudy is NOT in the middle of the conservative spectrum and Reagan was nowhere near Rudy's liberal spectrum.

I made the point that Reagan, Rudy and Fred Thompson (if he runs) are conservatives who have the ability to appeal to a broad spectrum of voters, because they are amiable within the framework of their conservatism. Hope that’s clear now.

Sandwiching Rudy's name between two people far more conservative than he will ever be, and saying "their conservatism", will not make Rudy a conservative. Nice try, lib-lover.

Unless you are a liberal. Then its just marking you as anathema with superb economy of words.

Some of these people DON'T GET IT! They really don't understand who the Founders were and what they stood for. They don't understand what America is all about. America was built on the principles of Judeo-Christian law. Period!

“When I see comments like “But I would vote for a trained chimpanzee if it meant keeping Hillary out of the White House”, I am reminded how out of touch a society can become.”

It seems that compromising your principals is ok as long as an (R) makes it into office.

Sorry. But ‘second best’ isn’t good enough anymore.

We don’t want a ‘Hillary’, and we don’t want a ‘Hillary Lite’ either.

I like to think that the Republic was born of desperation, the vision of men who thought that the current system sucked.

Gives me hope that way.

You’re right. I stand corrected. But my point to that poster was that the Founding Fathers did not dismiss God and religious teachings from our government, they founded our government based upon God and their religious backgrounds.

check this dandy out

Got one ordered for myself. It is a nice price and all Russian body armor must be 'Tokerov' rated. She hits pretty hard because it is a 7.62x 24 (or 25). I also purchased a M44 Russian made 7.62x54(or55 I fergit) and it has the steel butt plate for crushin Commie skulls and bayonet. Now I can kill Commies with their own weapon. ;-) Makes me feel good when I shoot her. If you want a good battle weapon, check out the M44 on gun broker. I got mine for like 225 (with shipping and transfer fees.) Plus 300 rounds are included. Nice price for a battle weapon. Sites go to 1000 meters. I can't see that far anymore. You can't put a scope on her. You wouldn't want to anyway. She is a battle weapon. I thought the M44 (and I don't have the CZ52 in my hand yet, so I can't say on that) has been the best deal so far. I highly recommend taking a look.

here is the link to the m44 and 300 rounds (kill 'em with their own ammo, I like to say):

http://gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=70301556

Since the rat took over I have purchased four weapons. I am going to invest in more too. Also, since the Republicans will not stand up for Border Security. I stopped sending them money and started sending money to the NRA again.
