Will FR embrace socialism to make way for Rudy Giuliani as a Republican presidential candidate?
vanity | April 21, 2007 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 04/21/2007 6:42:25 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

We've got some real challenges facing us. FR was established to fight against government corruption, overstepping, and abuse and to fight for a return to the limited constitutional government as envisioned and set forth by our founding fathers in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution and other founding documents.

One of the biggest cases of government corruption, overstepping and abuse that I know of is its disgraceful headlong slide into a socialist hell. Our founders never intended for abortion to be the law of the land. And they never intended the Supreme Court to be a legislative body. They never intended God or religion to be written out of public life. They never intended government to be used to deny God's existence or for government to be used to force sexual perversions onto our society or into our children's education curriculum. They never intend for government to disarm the people. They never intended for government to set up sanctuary cities for illegals. They never intended government to “rule” over the people and or to take their earnings or private property or to deprive them of their constitutional rights to free speech, free religion, private property, due process, etc. They never intended government to seize the private property of private citizens through draconian asset forfeiture laws or laws allowing government to take private property from lawful owners to give to developers. Or to seize wealth and redistribute it to others. Or to provide government forced health insurance or government forced retirement systems.

All of the above are examples of ever expanding socialism and tyranny brought to us by liberals/liberalism.

FR fights against the liberals/Democrats in all of these areas and always will. Now if liberalism infiltrates into the Republican party and Republicans start promoting all this socialist garbage, do you think that I or FR will suddenly stop fighting against it? Do you think I'm going to bow down and accept abortionism, feminism, homosexualism, global warming, illegal alien lawbreakers, gun control, asset forfeiture, socialism, tyranny, totalitarianism, etc, etc, etc, just so some fancy New York liberal lawyer can become president from the Republican party?

Do you really expect me to do that?

If just DAN QUAYLE would step in.

How about this one, DRAFT NANCY REAGAN.

I’m sorry to say that IMHO the “holy roller” issues have no business in government. If you want a party based on theocratic principles, start one.

This whole Republic was based upon theocratic principles. I'm glad that the Founding Fathers thought differently than you.

Please allow me to ask a question: Does a 'good' Conservative believe in partial birth abortion or abortion in general? I would think that the vast majority of 'good' Conservatives are against partial birth abortion. Hence, why would a 'good' Conservative support someone who once said:

“I’m pro-choice. I’m pro-gay rights,” Giuliani said. He was then asked whether he supports a ban on what critics call partial-birth abortions. “No, I have not supported that, and I don’t see my position on that changing,” he responded.

check it here

Are Republicans so afraid of hillaryious, that they will abandon their values. Why are 'good' Republicans all of the sudden believing the words of the lame stream media.

I am going to relax and go vote your conscience because I am not afraid of the hillaryious, Hussein, or any other Goreish candidate the rats can throw at us.

Who , other than Rudy , has a chance to ACTUALLY get the votes to beat an extremely powerful Dem onslaught ?

Any prinipled, backboned, conservative. People are SICK of phonies and want the real deal.

I hate to tell you but Rudy isn't that wonderful, or that popular. I can't remember a presidential candidate that Republicans disliked as much as Rudy.

Whoa. I don’t even know the man. I hate some of the stuff he has done (quite a lot actually), but hold no animous towards the man at all. I would not invite him into my house, because he has proven his character - but I don’t see that ever coming up.

I simply posted my observation. How many funerals did he go to (I believe that the answer is ‘all but one’)? How many of those were televised on ‘local’ stations? The answer to that is ‘all of them’. I would wager that the mayor even had the temerity to help schedule the greiving for the families in order to make his schedule.

That, to me, is grandstanding of the highest order. I would bet money that he had a few words to say at several of those ‘appearances’. He leveraged tragedy into a bid for the White House.

And you are an apologist for him. -> “Oh, please...”

->What do you expect from him?

I expect that he will drop out once this thread makes the news. (Dare I dream?)

You don’t even have to go back to 2002...Toomey vs. Specter. You could even potentially add McClintock vs. Ahnold in Kollyforneea to that list.

Huh? Having a different candidate in a primary constitutes sabotaging the party? That is absurd. My examples were of moderates actually leaving the party to sabotage the GOP candidate in a general election.

“Told you Jim. Lets be honest, Peach was begging to be banned. You simply obliged her. Good move.”

That’s exactly right. And anyone who says otherwise is dishonest. Or a liberal. ;^)

You need to read current events.

A lot of people are realizing what PBA is. And that should make us all happy.

“And as a taxpayer I would much rather fund $500 abortion than $100K... welfare casee...”

So, by doing the math and your cost effectiveness equation..we could kill 199 unborn babies by sucking their brains out and still come out ahead as solely fiscal conservatives.

Furthermore, my views on immigration don't make me less of a conservative. No sir. They make me more mainstream and you more extremist.

So, your views on immigration, which if I recall aren't much different than the Democrats', don't make you less of a conservative? And you're also saying that those who have more conservative views on immigration (less mainstream too) are "extremist"? Can you say, "delusional?"

I agree. I'd rather be raped than murdered

Are you sure about that? Some who have been believe they would have preferred to die than to live through the aftermath of such an attack

Just because some liberal propaganda promoting freepers keep saying Rudy is the only candidate who has a hope of winning, doesn’t make it so.
