We've got some real challenges facing us. FR was established to fight against government corruption, overstepping, and abuse and to fight for a return to the limited constitutional government as envisioned and set forth by our founding fathers in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution and other founding documents.
One of the biggest cases of government corruption, overstepping and abuse that I know of is its disgraceful headlong slide into a socialist hell. Our founders never intended for abortion to be the law of the land. And they never intended the Supreme Court to be a legislative body. They never intended God or religion to be written out of public life. They never intended government to be used to deny God's existence or for government to be used to force sexual perversions onto our society or into our children's education curriculum. They never intend for government to disarm the people. They never intended for government to set up sanctuary cities for illegals. They never intended government to rule over the people and or to take their earnings or private property or to deprive them of their constitutional rights to free speech, free religion, private property, due process, etc. They never intended government to seize the private property of private citizens through draconian asset forfeiture laws or laws allowing government to take private property from lawful owners to give to developers. Or to seize wealth and redistribute it to others. Or to provide government forced health insurance or government forced retirement systems.
All of the above are examples of ever expanding socialism and tyranny brought to us by liberals/liberalism.
FR fights against the liberals/Democrats in all of these areas and always will. Now if liberalism infiltrates into the Republican party and Republicans start promoting all this socialist garbage, do you think that I or FR will suddenly stop fighting against it? Do you think I'm going to bow down and accept abortionism, feminism, homosexualism, global warming, illegal alien lawbreakers, gun control, asset forfeiture, socialism, tyranny, totalitarianism, etc, etc, etc, just so some fancy New York liberal lawyer can become president from the Republican party?
Do you really expect me to do that?
I understand. But, thank you for treating him with the respect he richly deserves.
;)
I heartily agree with everything you said.
LOL! Sure you do. I assumed that since you were obviously so concerned about those poor MinuteMen contributors being ripped off, that you were one of them. I see now, in your response, it's just your concern for the little guy. Thanks for looking out for MY (as in contributor) interest. Blackbird.
You're the guilty one. You compared FReepers to Maoists.
Right (lol) :)
I am not sure anyone is actually seeking to abolish taxes per se; but to abolish perhaps unconstitutional taxes? Or taxes which have been enacted under the doctrines of Karl Marx.
There are lawful forms of taxation and then there are the kind of taxations that have been allowed to be enacted in the later 20th century.
I’d be against most of the later myself.
Right up and until the primaries are done with, then he'll be their devil too! Blackbird.
On my restricted diet it would be no sugar jello vs. rabbit food.
Well said, OO.
The best thing for an good, solid, indignant freeper to do right now is just leave this thread or lurk, and when you see one of your friends getting ready for the dive, try to convince them to leave the thread. Eventually bug zappers get turned off when they don’t zap any more — they consume too much energy.
Thank you EV...you are SPOT ON about Mo...
Thank you RachelFaith. I don’t know you, but I agree with what you said.
Thank you for the kind words
Lemme just acknowledge that I’ve read your incoherent nonsense and see no reason why we should bother pretending you’re capable of intelligent debate, so I’ll leave it at that.
Anyhow, that’s obviously not what anyone’s here for these days.
LOL!
>>I am not sure anyone is actually seeking to abolish taxes per se; but to abolish perhaps unconstitutional taxes?<<
I wondered about that but the constitutional arguments about the constitutionality of various taxes including the income tax only apply at the Federal level as far as I know...
Oh, and given the tone of the thread I’ll go ahead and disclose that I think the income tax is as clearly constitutional as any other tax. :)
Why? And give in to bullies who have had a taste of power and wield it like a bull in a china shop.
Lunch break marker.
Drinkin tea, readin some book, getting some rays...I’m not ready for deckwork yet. The first days should be celebrated.
You think homosexuality is hot? Okaaaaayyy.
Dunno that it's that easy. We'll se.
