We've got some real challenges facing us. FR was established to fight against government corruption, overstepping, and abuse and to fight for a return to the limited constitutional government as envisioned and set forth by our founding fathers in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution and other founding documents.
One of the biggest cases of government corruption, overstepping and abuse that I know of is its disgraceful headlong slide into a socialist hell. Our founders never intended for abortion to be the law of the land. And they never intended the Supreme Court to be a legislative body. They never intended God or religion to be written out of public life. They never intended government to be used to deny God's existence or for government to be used to force sexual perversions onto our society or into our children's education curriculum. They never intend for government to disarm the people. They never intended for government to set up sanctuary cities for illegals. They never intended government to rule over the people and or to take their earnings or private property or to deprive them of their constitutional rights to free speech, free religion, private property, due process, etc. They never intended government to seize the private property of private citizens through draconian asset forfeiture laws or laws allowing government to take private property from lawful owners to give to developers. Or to seize wealth and redistribute it to others. Or to provide government forced health insurance or government forced retirement systems.
All of the above are examples of ever expanding socialism and tyranny brought to us by liberals/liberalism.
FR fights against the liberals/Democrats in all of these areas and always will. Now if liberalism infiltrates into the Republican party and Republicans start promoting all this socialist garbage, do you think that I or FR will suddenly stop fighting against it? Do you think I'm going to bow down and accept abortionism, feminism, homosexualism, global warming, illegal alien lawbreakers, gun control, asset forfeiture, socialism, tyranny, totalitarianism, etc, etc, etc, just so some fancy New York liberal lawyer can become president from the Republican party?
Do you really expect me to do that?
LOL. No adult kids living at home, eh?
LOL, hadn’t thought of that...;)
>>That particular cycle is apparent throughout history. All you have to do to prove it is to go read the book of Judges.<<
You do remember what happened to the last Judge. Christians have a new covenant.
Thank God.
But, nonetheless, even among Christians, the cycle continues. American history is replete with examples.
LOL! Has your water bill gone up? All those showers you must need after signing off...
Nope. There were posters here who admitted to doing so and others who had friends who did so...
FWIW, I think it’s a pretty good analogy for FR actually, the adult kids living at home thing :)
>>Thank God.
But, nonetheless, even among Christians, the cycle continues. American history is replete with examples.<<
Yes, thank God.
And yes, man’s character did not change suddenly.
That said, I hope for a better end here than pulling the temple down around us. If we can head off the idol worshiping and not be controlled by those who would harm us we might be able to skip that part, for once.
I wouldn’t even venture on the Rudy threads as there was no discussion — it was an indoctrination. Rudy, while an admirabe man, is NOT a conservative. I am pro-life and pro-guns....to name a couple of things Rudy is not. He can suggest that he will pick justices that I would want, that does not mean he will. I want a candidate who espouses my views - especially in the primary. I don’t want a bunch of posters trying to force me to believe that Rudy is all things to all voters. I don’t buy into that. Rudy is what he is and he will govern with his own beliefs not mine. Therefore, I am relieved that the air is cleared.
We all need a time out — many of those banned needed it. Others just plain left. I am enjoying the quiet. ;^)
Best of luck to you, then. If you really do not see it then you’re playing with fire and you might get burned. If you do see it but aren’t admitting to it, you’re just getting ready to run to the light.
I think most who are gone were just good conservatives who made the mistake of supporting the front running Republican candidate.
***We still see, even recently on this thread, comments like
“We’re looking for religious right members that could...IF HE BECOMES THE NOMINEE...hold their noses and vote for him rather than allow a Clinton to run this nation again.”
I havent found Reagan bashing or the trashing of our values.... “I think most who are gone were just good conservatives who made the mistake of supporting the front running Republican candidate.”
***Again those blinders. At this point I’m not trying to convince you because I think you’ve already made up your mind; my comments are aimed at lurkers who are trying to figure out just what the heck is going on and why this continues. Anyone who reads through this thread and comes up with statements like yours is willfully putting on blinders and getting ready for a freepercide.
"Charged and ready" and patiently awaiting the stragglers...
Well said. Yes, there’s a whole bunch of parts we could skip if, as a people, we would find the wisdom to do so.
Horse pucky.
>>Nope. There were posters here who admitted to doing so and others who had friends who did so...<<
There were indeed posters who said such things here. But we should note that nearly every time someone said that there were others to point out that boycotting elections just lets the other side win.
LOL
JimRob, this seems like a distinct possibility that this statement below was copied & pasted from an RG campaign strategy sheet. It’s pretty blatant and shows where they’re coming from, so I thought I’d bring it to your attention.
We’re looking for religious right members that could...IF HE BECOMES THE NOMINEE...hold their noses and vote for him rather than allow a Clinton to run this nation again.
