Will FR embrace socialism to make way for Rudy Giuliani as a Republican presidential candidate?

We've got some real challenges facing us. FR was established to fight against government corruption, overstepping, and abuse and to fight for a return to the limited constitutional government as envisioned and set forth by our founding fathers in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution and other founding documents.
One of the biggest cases of government corruption, overstepping and abuse that I know of is its disgraceful headlong slide into a socialist hell. Our founders never intended for abortion to be the law of the land. And they never intended the Supreme Court to be a legislative body. They never intended God or religion to be written out of public life. They never intended government to be used to deny God's existence or for government to be used to force sexual perversions onto our society or into our children's education curriculum. They never intend for government to disarm the people. They never intended for government to set up sanctuary cities for illegals. They never intended government to rule over the people and or to take their earnings or private property or to deprive them of their constitutional rights to free speech, free religion, private property, due process, etc. They never intended government to seize the private property of private citizens through draconian asset forfeiture laws or laws allowing government to take private property from lawful owners to give to developers. Or to seize wealth and redistribute it to others. Or to provide government forced health insurance or government forced retirement systems.
All of the above are examples of ever expanding socialism and tyranny brought to us by liberals/liberalism.
FR fights against the liberals/Democrats in all of these areas and always will. Now if liberalism infiltrates into the Republican party and Republicans start promoting all this socialist garbage, do you think that I or FR will suddenly stop fighting against it? Do you think I'm going to bow down and accept abortionism, feminism, homosexualism, global warming, illegal alien lawbreakers, gun control, asset forfeiture, socialism, tyranny, totalitarianism, etc, etc, etc, just so some fancy New York liberal lawyer can become president from the Republican party?
Do you really expect me to do that?

CindyDawg, imo,it's not about disliking people. It is simply revisiting what exactly "personal attack" means. Not only were views anti-life or unconservative but being targeted by them was a distraction from what needs to be done in this country.
For example, in Florida, there's a property tax crisis, insurance crisis and the GOP governor (really a democrat) will not win a 2nd term. I'd rather criticize those things and work on those issues than be a human punching bag. It ended up hurting them more than it ever hurt me. Floriduh Voter wins big.

constitution trampling, individual rights trampling CFR. He was it's prime mover through the Senate.
From which he still hasn't backed away, btw.

Regarding the purge, if you cant see whats right in front of you, then I cant help you. Even fellow FReepers supporting it are calling it a purge/pruning/cleaning. Its all semantics. Get over it. It is a new way of life here. Nobody has been killed despite the Stalin references the idiots post.

"Go back and read the posts from the 30-40 people who left here.
Do you really think that's it's only 30-40 people that have left FR??? I know two lurkers who have tossed in the towel myself. Sir, there are quite likely thousands.
I guess that will all be determined when the next fund raiser comes along. My character is such that I simply cannot walk away, at least not without making the point - again - that the purge has impacted fellow conservatives as well. If Free Republic considers those losses unfortunate "collateral damage" and/or not "real" conservatives, then it will be the lessor for it.

What Howlin did most of the time was to set out to destroy anyone who dared disagree with her centrist-pragmatic form of politics. She didn't like conservatives or conservatism, and she expressed that up until her last week on FR. I second that AMEN!!

Do they use big words over there at WA where you joined up yesterday? Maybe you and your buddy could tutor us and teach us some of the big words we don’t know. How about it?

>>>>>I dont believe you know him as well as you think, then maybe you do. A year ago, I knew Rudy was a social liberal. I thought he was something of a fiscal conservative. I was proven wrong on the latter. After doing some serious research I found out Rudy was a full fledged liberal. On top of that, I was born and raised in NYC. I grew up with liberals just like Rudy. As a member of my HS Young Republicans Club and as a member of the NYS Conservative Party, I was always taking on the liberal establishment. Argued politics with them for years.
I know who Rudy is. He's a liberal and he won't ever get my vote. And I'm still convinced he won't win the nomination either.

“If you dont vote republican because he is not your everything with policy, as I’ve read here on this thread, then yes, you do abandon the troops.”
No. The GOP abandoned the troops. My vote has to be earned. By the fact that many of the GOP hacks have jumped on the bandwagon of a liberal that votes in line with Clinton.

I’m certain they do have facts. I’m also confident in my knowledge. I cannot provide all the articles and life experiences I have had regarding Giulani in a post. I wont work to make proof.I’m not campaigning for him. The info is readily available on the net. You have not provided anything here either. He has policies I don’t agree with just as Bush does. I still support him. He has done a fantastic job with WOT. It’s wrong this in house fighting. It’s dividing not uniting our cause. That was my original point to posting. I should have kept to it.

Yes, this is a conservative site and lots of networking goes on here in many areas. The RNC has their own message boards to pat themselves on the back. The GOP needs us but after Tom Gallagher's primary, that was my last hurrah w/them. I am still in touch with folks who are working on the property tax debacle. I'm done celebrating candidates as if they are superstars. They are just the ones who got their hands on the most money.
I want an underdog with common sense. Wouldn't that be nice?

have years of reading articles etc. to come to my conclusions. This comes from reading and learning. Not a feeling. I lived through 9/11. Ive had losses. Not through the tv in my living room. Ive done my research. I highly doubt that 80 percent here who make conclusions, and thats being generous, have a clue of Giulianis true biography. They discount him on what some Freepers can write. Im not debating. Im going by fact. Like I had said, Fred Thompson would be my man. If hes serious about running. Giuliani the second. Would you prefer McCain? I wouldnt. Now, if I specifically insult any other candidate, I take the chance of being banned. So I wont do that, because I have an outlet here to support the troops, like family, in Iraq. Im grateful for this. So Ill leave it at that. We discount him on the things he does and says. Freepers don't just write They post documents and U-tube recordings of speeches and events. Ghouliani's honorary supporter membership in the STONEWALL Veterans' Association and the purpose of that group for example is well documented. This isn't CBS or the New York Times. Rooty has gotten a fair hearing. Unfortunately, he's a far lefty.

To: floriduh voter
I want a nice conservative person with good sense, loyalty to the nation, some charisma to motivate people, honesty, integrity, and who will know how to handle the loonies in congress and stand up loudly for what he believes.
Is that too much to ask?
To: Reagan Man
Maybe, he won’t even win the nomination.
