We've got some real challenges facing us. FR was established to fight against government corruption, overstepping, and abuse and to fight for a return to the limited constitutional government as envisioned and set forth by our founding fathers in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution and other founding documents.
One of the biggest cases of government corruption, overstepping and abuse that I know of is its disgraceful headlong slide into a socialist hell. Our founders never intended for abortion to be the law of the land. And they never intended the Supreme Court to be a legislative body. They never intended God or religion to be written out of public life. They never intended government to be used to deny God's existence or for government to be used to force sexual perversions onto our society or into our children's education curriculum. They never intend for government to disarm the people. They never intended for government to set up sanctuary cities for illegals. They never intended government to rule over the people and or to take their earnings or private property or to deprive them of their constitutional rights to free speech, free religion, private property, due process, etc. They never intended government to seize the private property of private citizens through draconian asset forfeiture laws or laws allowing government to take private property from lawful owners to give to developers. Or to seize wealth and redistribute it to others. Or to provide government forced health insurance or government forced retirement systems.
All of the above are examples of ever expanding socialism and tyranny brought to us by liberals/liberalism.
FR fights against the liberals/Democrats in all of these areas and always will. Now if liberalism infiltrates into the Republican party and Republicans start promoting all this socialist garbage, do you think that I or FR will suddenly stop fighting against it? Do you think I'm going to bow down and accept abortionism, feminism, homosexualism, global warming, illegal alien lawbreakers, gun control, asset forfeiture, socialism, tyranny, totalitarianism, etc, etc, etc, just so some fancy New York liberal lawyer can become president from the Republican party?
Do you really expect me to do that?
DMW,
You seem to be truly obsessed with the activities of those who don’t agree with you. Why? Worried about something?
For the record, yes, I joined WideAwakes yesterday. So what? I also joined an automotive forum, too. Would you like the URL to that one so you can research my two posts, too?
Take the damn tin foil off for just a second, will ya’?!?
Regarding the purge, if you can’t see what’s right in front of you, then I can’t help you. Even fellow FReepers supporting it are calling it a purge/pruning/cleaning. It’s all semantics.
If a liberal is elected because some chose to stay home like mid term elections, we are in deep doo doo.
Newsflash for you:
If Rudy is the GOP nominee A LIBERAL IS GUARANTEED TO WIN THE PRESIDENCY
Personally, I don’t trust Rudy enough to trust him with the troops...He talks, but I saw the problems he had with his own fire and police units (which is the closest things I have to judge by....It really behooves us to get them into the hands of someone who will respect and care for what they do for us in more than talk.
I’ll even use big words...
Be careful...not all here understand big words. Could be confusing.
” Ive done my research. I highly doubt that 80 percent here who make conclusions, and thats being generous, have a clue of Giulianis true biography. They discount him on what some Freepers can write. Im not debating. Im going by fact. “
I think a lot of these guys are anxious to see your informational facts. From what I can tell, some of the conservatives here have a lot of facts about Rudy too.
I'm not a Republican. I am a social, fiscal, and religious conservative. I vote for conservatives. That is why I am on this site, instead of a site dedicated to the Republican party.
Semper Fidelis
As a conservative Democrat in 1952 and 1956, Ronald Reagan voted for Eisenhower. Still a conservative Democrat in 1960, Reagan voted for Nixon. Reagan then said the Democratic Party had become to liberal for his politics and he became a Republican. This sounds very similar to what conservative Republicans are faced with today.
Taken everything into consideration, Rudy Giuliani would be the worse candidate for conservatives. He doesn’t represent what conservatism stands for, or even what Republicanism is all about.
Rudy is the wrong man for the job.
“Ill even use big words...”
Wait a minute, I want to be able to read it too.
maybe we could get the sissy to ‘splain them to us ;’}
I’m not the one who needs help pal. You seem to have a comprehension problem. There is no purge going on here except for those who are purging themselves out the door. Go back and read the posts from the 30-40 people who left here. Most left on their own accord and others left because they violated the rules. Even when they did violate the rules JR gave them a dozen warnings before he finally shut them down. Like I said, if you are so bothered by these folks being gone, then maybe it’s time for you to consider leaving here too. No reason for you to be here if you're gonna be so unhappy.
“To the best of my knowledge, Rudy Giuliani is the most liberal candidate to ever run for the GOP nomination. Rudy is way more liberal then even Gerald Ford. In 1992, Bush41 went liberal on taxes and conservatives didn’t vote for him.
As a conservative Democrat in 1952 and 1956, Ronald Reagan voted for Eisenhower. Still a conservative Democrat in 1960, Reagan voted for Nixon. That was well said.
Fine with me.
>>>>I wouldn't want to get in the way of your continued violations of Ronald Reagan's Eleventh Commandment: "Thou shalt not speak ill of a fellow Republican."
If you knew your political history, you wouldn't be making such an ignorant statement. The 11th commandment was a fallacy. Once again, read on pilgrim.
For starters, Reagan didn't create the 11th commandment. California state GOP chairman Gaylord Parkinson created that slogan in 1966 during the race for Governor. It was meant to counter the attacks on Ronald Reagan from his GOP primary opponent, liberal San Francisco Mayor, George Christopher. For the next ten years that slogan was dormant in the political arena. To my knowledge Reagan didn't use it once.
In 1976 conservative Ronald Reagan challenged Pres Ford for the GOP nomination. Reagan savaged Ford with attacks on both his domestic and foreign policy agenda and rightly so. The Ford campaign slung mud at Reagan, calling him a cowboy and as unqualified to be POTUS. This contentious campaigning went on through the primaries and into the GOP convention. In the primaries, Ford won 15 states and Reagan won 12 states in the closet primary election phase in US history. Ford beat Reagan for the nomination, 1187 delegate votes to 1070. Reagan lost the nomination by 60 votes!
My point being, criticizing and attacking your political opponent has been the case throughout US political history. That includes the political campaigns of Ronald Reagan. The Founding Fathers were real good at taking down their political opponents too. Look at US history.
Rudy is a liberal. We conservatives want him out of the way. We're working to take him down. Politics 101!
IMO, that eliminates Giuliani, Romney, McCain, Thompson, Gilmore and Brownback, for starters. Your results may vary.
You put Fred Thompson in that group, EV?
How?
