What are Women about?
http://www.self.whatisthat ^ | 04-10-2007 | J.Wright

Posted on 04/10/2007 12:24:46 AM PDT by RunningWolf

Around 1980 my Dad showed me a book someone gave him as a crank gift, its title was 'Everything I know about Women' and every page was blank.

I had to laugh because it was so true for me also. I know nothing about 'them' although a few have come into the sphere of my life here and there during my journey into the unknown.

My POV is from the place of a 52 never married bach.

The torment I suffered at the hands of Women is way to intiimate for this forum, but for some reason I still love them (as I kneel down at my mothers grave when she died so young at 42 from cancer)

All these posts about men not understanding women is depressing. Women are not difficult to understand at all.

Here it is, so get ready for it:

First, women want everything, and they want it right now. Their confusion comes from not being able to prioritize what they want into a simple list from 1 to 100 things. Items on their want list are in constant motion, preventing them from stopping long enough to have a reasoned thought.

Men make the mistake of trying to tell women what they should want, or cant have, resulting in hatred or resentment.

Any man wishing to enter a long term relationship with a woman must be prepared to just give them what they want and shutup about it. Expect nothing in return, because she is using your stuff to build a nest, and a man's presence in it is not necessarily a given.

Its all about the nest, and the coming chicks. Your job as a man is to supply building materials. A man's reward is that the chicks (hopefully) will grow up and look like him.

That's it. That's all there is. She is literally a pickup truck, so he better be Home Depot, or it aint gonna work.

"But Pukin, what about 'love'?"

Get real, people. Love never did anything but mess up your credit.

Moreover, if he has never been married before age 40 or so, your typical woman reasons that he has been on the shelf for some 20 years and countless women have NOT selected him for a mate, and their collective wisdom is not to be dismissed lightly.

It is to be dismissed utterly, because it's all ego-mind delusion. People who make decisions about another's character based on speculative fantasies simply disqualify themselves - they are too stuck in their heads to make reliable partners, anyway. Every decision she makes in a relationship will be based on what her friends say, or what some TV character did in the same situation.

Only you can judge you. The opinions of others don't count.

You are correct. A feminist is hardly a woman.

A conservative woman is not going around trying to be a man.

Pukin... *sighs, shakes head* you are close but no cookie mate.

I am tired of getting flamed on these threads, so if you would be so kind please FReepmail when you have a moment and allow Me to illustrate how you are so right... and yet still wrong. Let Me give you a clue: women use subtle ways to test for the 'wussiness' factor, and at times it is almost unconscious. But when you can play the game on their level, it is SO satisfactory to finally understand what has been going on literally underneath your nose, mate. And sometimes, unconsciously on their parts as well, lol!!!

You’re 100% right...about unconscious women and men. That’s exactly the way it goes when people fall into roles predefined for them by society or family, and don’t attempt to reach a deeper level. Unfortunately, that describes about 98% of people these days. But one can’t let such miserable relationships serve as a model for one’s own.

No worries. I didn’t take offense:-) I’ve grown to really appreciate that God sees men and women as equal in value but has assigned us different roles. My advice to men: seek God for wisdom and guidance. My advice to women: wait for a man who seeks after the Lord.

“Understanding” what makes a woman tick (or a man for that matter) is irrelevant.

There are two types of people: Those that can get over their selfishness and those that can’t. Period. It equally applies to men and women.

If you can be unselfish, you can compromise, sacrifice, support, defend, nurture...all critical to raising a family.

If you can’t, then don’t bother. Be a single rich person , accumulate possessions, have fun..all that crap. Just don’t bring a child into the world.

Women who “want it all” are selfish. Avoid them like the plague.

Also, you MUST find a conservative woman. The first time I walked into my future wife’s house I saw a signed letter from George Bush thanking her for her generous contribution to the Republican party. How many single women have letters like that hanging on their refridgerators? I was hooked.

Now, 5 years later, we’re happily married with 2 sons. She suffered through my 15-month deployment to Iraq, kept up our household and took care of the boys alone. I flew over 50 hours of combat time as a UH-60 pilot, but she had it tougher than me.

I’ll live with her quirks like complaining that I load the dishwasher the wrong way. Why fight about it? We suffer through bad days and have many more good days. Lack of sleep from two toddlers gets to us, but you fight through it.

Accept your partner, give them space when they need it and compromise. Rinse, repeat.

Wait till you have kids. Then you will see what they are talking about. If wifey doesn’t get what she wants from you, she will start eating your children alive. Then you will have two choices...make sure she’s happy or spend the rest of your life agonizing over your effed up kids.

The power of women is in the power of motherhood.

Oh, I need no validation, thank you. LOL.

Look, from the moment a woman puts her eyes on you, the clock is ticking. She is measuring you to find out how long it takes for you to either give her control, or take it from her.

I don't do relationships, and I keep my exposure to women to 6 hour intervals. Any more than that, and they start squirting illogical juice in your eyes, blinding you to what they are about to do to you if you don't get away quickly. I have discovered through trial and error, that it takes them 6 hours to formulate this juice, and cannot do it when you are outside their cone of influence.

The best operators, can even squirt that juice over telephone lines, but only on Thursdays and Fridays if they have not yet captured a victim for the weekend.

RunningWolf, you think too much. How did you become so tormented by women?

There are plenty of women who don’t feel the need to make babies.

What is a man’s primal instinct? You and I both know what man’s most primal instinct is.

This subject goes both ways.

I knew I'd find you here! What do women want? SIGH... where do I start? LOL!

I know what I want now is not even close to what I wanted in my misguided, naive 20s.

I don't pretend to understand women, but I am thankful that God created them for us. You guys who are taking your wives for granted might want to rethink your position. I loved my wife dearly and was totally lost when she passed away.

I've started dating again, and boy have the rules changed in the last forty years! I could also talk about "Missed Signals" - I'm totally clueless. As a matter of fact, I could probably write a pretty funny book about my dating experiences to date.

I have been pretty selective, and have found a wonderful widow that the Good Lord has been keeping for me. As soon as she'll have me, I'm going to get married again.
