Around 1980 my Dad showed me a book someone gave him as a crank gift, its title was 'Everything I know about Women' and every page was blank.
I had to laugh because it was so true for me also. I know nothing about 'them' although a few have come into the sphere of my life here and there during my journey into the unknown.
My POV is from the place of a 52 never married bach.
The torment I suffered at the hands of Women is way to intiimate for this forum, but for some reason I still love them (as I kneel down at my mothers grave when she died so young at 42 from cancer)
Not naming names here, but certain people I know would be in complete agreement.
After all, it's perfectly useable.
What an excellent post for news/activism.
The mods are to be commended!
Buy Dr. Laura’s book, “The Proper Care and Feeding of Husbands.” I’m inherently nosey and appreciate good intel, and so even though I’m a guy I bought the thing and read it after hearing her promote it on her show. While it’s intended for women, it will give a guy great insight into how a modern woman operates.
LOL There are some that would place the same bet on me. We shall see......
I was recently told that heart surgery is in my near future. Hopefully, they can fix it and I can get on with life within the next few weeks.
My Bride was with me when the doctor explained that the pain and inconvenience of past 4 1/2 years of fluid buildup, had not been necessary, that it was not caused from bad lungs as once thought, and that a surgery to remove the sack (membrane around my heart) would make things much better.
So, I told my Bride that I will hope for two things as I go into surgery. I want my soul to be ready, I want my fishing gear ready and the boat packed for a cruise. Well, I also want her face to be the last thing that I see.....at least that should give me good dreams in the recovery room. I want her smile to be the first thing I see when I wake.
She was the last thing I saw going under and the first thing I saw when I woke up in the recovery room.
I gotta stop this lovefest or she'll end up getting the wrong right idea...
You’re a good man.
BTW the men my age who want to date my daughter are in for an unpleasant awakening. She'd tell gramps to take a walk. I told her the same thing I told my son--get an education, enjoy your life and you can always pick your mate when the time is right. No need to marry up and regret it.
They know I'm the voice of experience, having married a crazy bad man at a tender age. I have a great guy now, but no way I'm getting married again. Desperate is not in my vocab and I feel sorry for women who don't prepare for the crap life can dish out.
Well don't be in the closet ... post it all where we can see it!! :)
that was his rant in the church right?
This Is Gonna Get Good Ping
You’re right. Sort of self-fulfilling expectations - if you go after shallow, you get shallow.
We can't. We are all sworn to secrecy. ;-)
Here's one that baffles some men: We're not all alike. Any more than men are.
Aren't guys supposed to be about power tools? Remodeling = cool new tools. :P
You are!?!?!
Shhhh. That’s a secret.
It is to many on this thread, apparently.
Of course we are!
;-)
Look where I live!
It sounds like a lot of guys on this thread have had some bad experiences. Sheesh, who hasn't? That goes for either sex.
Just my two cents.
What we want: P-U-S-(censored).
There you have it!
