"He's toast," said Clemson University political scientist Dave Woodard. "I think it's going to be really hard for him to overcome this in South Carolina."

MAYOR RUDY GIULIANI: I have to reexamine those issues, and exactly what was at stake then, it was a long time ago, but generally that’s my view. Abortion is wrong, abortion shouldn’t happen, personally you should counsel people to that extent. When I was mayor, adoptions went up, abortions went down, but ultimately it’s a constitutional right and therefore if it’s a constitutional right, ultimately, even if you do it state by state basis, you have to make sure people are protected.
BASH: So you support taxpayer money or public funding for abortion in some cases?
GIULIANI: If it would deprive someone of a constitutional right, yes, if that’s the status of the law, then I would yes.

Not toast.
I think Rudy Giuliani is going to play well in Peoria.

What a dirtbag. Anyone who gives a damn about The Constitution should avoid this POS like the plague.

"I tell people what I think. I tell them (to) evaluate me as I am and do not expect them to agree with me on everything. I don't agree with me on everything," Giuliani said. "If that's the most important thing, then I'm comfortable with the fact you won't vote for me." This is why he will win South Carolina. He has the integrity to remain true to his views - even if we disagree with those views.

Hmmm ... Rudy apparently has decided he can foresake the pro-life vote AND the NRA vote.
He's pro-war, and the electorate gets much more anti-war the further leftward one goes.
So just where will Rudy make up the lost pro-life and pro-gun votes? Cemetaries? Oops, the dead vote Dem as well.

Yes - he is what he says he is. Anyone who panders is a liar. He’s not pandering for anyone.

the NRA vote. Looks like McCain will get the NRA vote from what I've seen.

Yes indeed - I am surprised people can’t disagree with him and still respect the man.
Oh well - there you go...

Oh please. What are his views on abortion? See the answer below and tell me it wasn't "focus group tested."

Rudy has no integrity. He's a colossal fraud.

McCain won’t get my NRA vote.
Don’t group the NRA into a lump vote - that won’t hold true.
To: areafiftyone
Looks like McCain will get the NRA vote from what I've seen.It would go to Fred if he enters the race, or probably Hunter if Fred does not.
But I'm really talking general election here. Rudy just basically dropped his pretense of moving rightwards to accomodate the pro-life vote. His gun-control record is atrocious. Where is he going to get the votes to make up for losses on the right at the rate he is going if he wins the nomination?

I don't tend to respect people who think it's a woman's constitutional right to destroy babies in the womb. Such individuals are not worthy of respect or high office.
People who don't respect unborn life tend to have little respect for born life, either.

In the mean time - Duncan Hunter is surging in the polls.
Oh wait - I had the polls upside down.
To: Cincinatus' Wife
Well, the only way a Prez can affect whether Roe v Wade is overturned is in the choice of judges for the SCOTUS. This seems to mean Rudy would give us more Souters, Ginzburgs, et al.
