I heard Judge Walton was upset that Libby didn't take the stand ... and even said so in open court

This case was BS from day one

And you watch .. Fitz will go after more people with this conviction ..

that would be good news from an appeal point of view. Judge Napolotano said any appeal would be unsuccessful since he was found guilty on four counts.

How does this help Wilson? Libby was never charged with outing Plame, nobody was. Isn't that what the Wilson suit is about?
Seems to me that as soon as Armitage admitted it was he who revealed Plame as a CIA agent, Libby was off the hook in that suit.
In the end Bush will pardon everyone involved in this case in about 23 months. The appeals will take that long for sure, so nobody does jail time.

I wish I believed in justice, but I don't anymore.

Yes. Berger goes free though he destroyed archived documents. You could hear a pin drop over the reaction of the liberals. But Libby must pay, and nobody knows what the hell he did.

Matthews is demanding a reply from Cheney, saying "this isn't just like a hunting accident where he can walk away for two days."

I guess, in retrospect, Libby's lawyer should have demanded the jury constitute 12 people.

Chris Matthews is fulminating about Cheney. What a putz.

Try putting yourself in Scooters place or Mrs. Libby's and see if you are laughing then.

Rush saying that this can encourage the prosecutor to go after bigger fish. Do you find that amusing too?

To: NormsRevenge
Judge Andrew Nap. on Fox saying it WAS a serious verdict and that Libby is looking at possibly 25 years hard time. He was convinced that Libby's otherwise brilliant atty. screwed up big time, in a number of ways.
How can you NOT put Wilson/Plame on the stand????

    Dear Mr. President,
Please pardon Mr. Libby.
This was, after all, a liberal inspired witch-hunt.
He does not deserve to spend time in prison.
Prison should be reserved for murderers, rapists and people who commit crimes of violence.
Thank you.

  That makes no sense.

This country and judicial system is becoming more and more of a joke every day. The "rule of Law" has degenerated in Washington DC into a political judicial result and meanwhile the confessions of two brutal child murderers are tossed in Florida trials. Likely, the "joke" is on us and, along with rampaging populism in the electoral process, will assist our slide into a tightly controlled "postmodern" rule by "liberal" elites.

What were the 5 counts itemized? I never saw an actual list of the 5 charges.

BTW...Bush should pardon him. TODAY. NOT on January 19, 2009, but today.

Bottom line is there was no proof, just interpretations of what someone remembered or did not and whether or not there was criminality in the intent.

IMO completely impossible to prove and was proved to not be pertinent to the issue of outing Plame at all since she was never covert.

Fitz should have wrapped this up by day #3.
