Rudy 'gun control is a state's rights issue' Giuliani.

The following is more than just a recommendation:

Understanding this should be a minimal job requirement.

Rudy is a PRINCIPLED CONSERVATIVE who believes that the people should decide most of their social issues through their local elected representatives - and he will appoint conservative judges who have that philosophy - as opposed to Hitlary, who will appoint Ruth Bader Ginsburgs to every open Federal Judiciary Seat ACROSS THE NATION.

Back to the argument that he's better than Hillary...hardly a compelling bumper sticker if you ask me.

Vote Rudy 2008 he's not as bad as Hillary!

16 posts so far, 15 "No Ways!"

I see a healthy pattern here. :)

Sorry. Haven't picked a candidate yet. Rudy's on my "watch with caution" list, but I'm still hoping Fred Thompson jumps into the ring.

Now, what are Rudy's sterling qualifications to be the BEST man to be CIC?

1. His policies are not much different than Clintons.
2. The Socialist news media love him.
3. He is pro gay marriage.
4. The Log Cabin Repubs like him no doubt.
5.

Well actually all of these rule him out.

And a reply I recieved:

Yeah, but will he fight to make the military a safe place for homosexuals? Gay Rights y'know. Will he fight to get government paid abortions for military women and or their daughters? Abortion Rights y'know. Will he fight for cross dressers in the military? Cross dressers have rights too, y'know. These are the real questions. We want a fighter!!

Sorry, I am not enthused or amused. Put up a conservative and there will be a rebirth of enthusiasm.

..let the mayor try to get through the barrier of the majority of Southern Baptists, the NASCAR people, the NRA & GOA--the present polls notwithstanding--I do not think he will make it...

BTW Al, that thread last week was great...

Al, it's too early to start claiming he is the only game in town.

If he is what you say, which I doubt, then he will have to be time tested.
That will prove his worth. I personally have others that interest me.
If it comes down to Rudy v. clinton/husseinObama I will vote red.
Until we hear more from others, lets just say, Rudy's in the race.

No more / No Less

He's already splitting us just fine. Can't wait to see the enthusiasm after he's nominated, should that grim day arrive.

You are asking social conservatives to stop supporting their main passion. My number one issue is guns. I despise big government and believe it will protect the wicked at my expense. In crisis time, I can turn only to myself and my family.

Rudy is a big government leftist. He may be an internationalist who would continue Bush's war, but I am ambivalent about that. It's certainly not a winning issue anymore. It got us majorities and re-election in 2002 and 2004, but is now quite stale. He may or may not be a fiscal conservative, but a president can have more impact on judges and social policy than in cutting the government. It never happens. Only grows. Even with Reagan.

No Giuliani. No way.

Rudy is Law-n-order.

He likes the Sullivan Law, the 'Assault Weapons ban', need I say more?

Somehow he forgot or denies that the Second Amendment of the Constitution, that 'inconvenient' law of the land guarantees my right to keep and bear arms, and I aim to continue to do just that.

I don't need a(nother) president who picks and chooses what laws they will enforce/ignore. No Rudy, no way.

And don't throw the Hildabeast at me. Just get a conservative candidate, already.

Yeah, but you gotta give Rudy credit ,at least he's in our face about his disdain for the Second Amendment ... that alone warrants our unconditional support for him ! /sarc

The last time there was such blind loyalty to a left winger was during and after BJ Clinton until Rudy.
WHY?
