"If you can't get MY vote as a Republican against Hillary....."

---John McCain:

"Not a Conservative, but a patriot."

Are we actually lowering ourselves to an "Anyone but Bush Hillary" mentality?

The Dems did that in '04, and look how well that worked for them!

I agree. That sort of mentality is foolish, and I do not advocate it.

For all the Rudy backers:

Here's your chance to explain why conservatives should vote for Rudy. And please don't say 'because we don't want Hillary.' That's how Republicans lost the last election by claiming 'vote for me' because you want to vote against the Democrats.

I saw this last night; I'm not one who puts anything into what others say.

But thanks.

Despite the fact that the murder rate went from 2000 per year down to 600, mostly minorites lives saved.......they hate him for it! Can't give him any credit at all.

Guess they'd rather be dead than alive.

The derangment syndrome is alive and well all over this country.

"'One pundit recently said: Which state is Hillary going to lose that Kerry won?""

Depends who the nominee is....if it is Tancredo I can see AZ, VA, CO, etc etc going DEM

I'm probably a little long in the tooth to be your "son", and I'm definitely too long in the tooth to start a career in politics, which is what it takes to get to the top. Further, I would tell people the truth, and that isn't something that wins elections.
If you are happy with the slate of candidates, good for you.

I cannot see Pennsylvania or Michigan going for Guliani on your list. There is too much fraud. Throw in that in the next election the Ds are in a better position to steal Florida and Ohio, and thinks look worrisome for whichever candidate wins the primary.

She also said she liked Harold Ford Jr before the last election.
She's entitled to her opinion

I think Hillary would win Arkansas, Missouri and possibly Montana, Colorado and Florida against Rudy. Montana and Florida are certainly wacko predictions that violate the CW, but I have my suspicions.

Not too many months ago Ann was in love with Harold Ford. Wishing he was a republican so she could vote for him.

Ann's opinion is just that. Her opinion....which is flawed IMO

If the nominee is Tancredo, Hillary wins every state except Idaho and Utah. Hey, I've got a great idea, let's nominate the worst candidate we possibly can!

Missouri, Florida, Arizona, Nevada, Virginia, Ohio and North Carolina are all in play the moment we nominate a liberal. The only state on your list I see as even a remote possibility is Jersey.

The notion that if we only nominate the most liberal candidate in the party's history we'll be able to pick off blue states is probably the most short-sighted, foolish bit of strategery I've ever heard. Democrats will vote Democratic, no matter how much we try to appease them with our nominee.

There is a certain reality that people have to face, no matter what you think of a candidate's stands on the issues:

we are in a celebrity culture. Until or unless Duncan Hunter somehow turns himself into a celebrity, he's NOT going to get mentioned, and because he doesn't get mentioned, he won't poll at all.

A second reality is anyone who isn't being mentioned in the polls absolutely will not win a primary.

Now, people here keep jumping all over me because I point out this reality, like gravity. Ignoring it doesn't change it. When you have large segments of the U.S. public who can't even name the VICE PRESIDENT, they sure aren't going to be "excited" about a congressman they've never heard of.

Both Bill Clinton and George W. Bush understood this by starting two years out lining up governors, making the rounds and making a national name. Both Rudy and McLame have done this for three years, McClame by dissing Bush and getting fawning media treatment, and Rudy by playing on his 9/11 actions.

I'll vote for Hunter over Newt, Newt over Rudy.

But in the end, you better be prepared for Rudy or McLame to be the nominee. (Cue all the people who say, "I won't vote then." Then cue the Hillary inauguration music).

if both McCain and Rmoney are acceptable to Ann Coulter but unacceptable to FR, well it says quite a bit about what FR has become

So, you are letting Ann Coulter call the shots and pick the candidate?

OK, I asked those who support Rudy to explain why we should vote for Rudy. Not just vote against Hillary or other Dem.

No one has a response. Real inspiring.
