Lab in lacrosse case found many DNA sources (DUKELAX)
The News and Observer ^ | December 13, 2006 | Joseph Neff and Benjamin Niolet, Staff Writers

A private laboratory hired by the prosecution in the Duke lacrosse case failed to report that it found DNA from multiple males in the accuser's body and underwear, according to a defense motion filed today. The lab, DNA Security of Burlington, found that the DNA did not match the three defendants, their lacrosse teammates or anyone else who submitted their DNA to police, including the accuser's boyfriend.

The new evidence emerged in thousands of documents handed over to the defense in October.

"Maybe the whore was blackmailing Nifong."

Maybe the Federal investigation will lead to researching the DNA against the current database, and maybe even against DNA taken from North Carolina public officials. Now wouldn't that be interesting?

The recorded identifier is BM - why a specific person and not simply Black Male?

So it would seem that CGM isn't the only whore involved in this case.

Major clue, he knew what his value was and was willing to discount it?

Yep, I have been an expert on civil matters and I agree life will be miserable for that guy on the stand from now on. And I can not see how either side will want to employ him or this firm now.

"Where will they go to get their money back?"

I would be naming the D.A., any on his staff that knew of the suppressed evidence, the Lab that withheld evidence, the City and County for allowing these idiots to misuse their office, the University for not standing by the team and in fact making them look guilty by canceling the season and forcing the coach to quit.....etc, etc....

Then I would insist that a false police report charge be filed against the whore who lied, slander and civil trial should follow to heap some grief on her sorry filthy ass.

Those "black leaders" who insisted that this fine girls "honor" should be restored by charging whitey with the " crime", should at the very least be required to make a public apology.

Of course in America today -- NONE of this will happen.
These were just white folks....they don't count anymore.

They did not rape her, assault her, or any other such thing.

By the looks of things, it'd be nearly impossible to do do. The old expression, you can't rape the willing.

"I hope their parents have the means and the desire to sue until the cows come home to clear their names and let them get on with their lives."

In order to prevail in a malicious prosecution claim, at least in most jurisdictions, you need to have prevailed in the criminal case (been acquitted or charges dismissed). One of the reasons the the prosecutor may be clinging to this case is that, if he drops it, he will be making it easier for his office to be sued. I can't think of any other reason to continue with this dog of a case.

The guys running the lab must be nuts to risk their business for $23,000.
_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Is $23,000 the going rate for a DNA test? Or did Nifong pay a little extra in order to get the lab to produce the results he wanted?

Excellent summary and a compelling set of inferences. Are these inferences enough to get Nifong presumptively thrown off the case, since he could be potentially be cross-examined as to the "objectivity" of the benign and minimal DNA evidence that links to the 3 young men in this case?

Can Nifong do whatever he wants, trample on innocent mens' rights, hide and manipulate evidence, all with no repercussions? Just what is the difference between Nifong and Uday Hussein? Both seem to mete out Justice totally from caprice, and both are out of control.

Looks like Meehan has some answering to do since he violeted the DNA Security lab's own policies.

Yeah, I have heard of, but never personally seen either the show or those episodes. They certainly would fit well for him, but against could he testify in any litigation arising out of the tests? I think not.

Any results he reports from here own will be undermined by his sleaziness in this case. If I am on a jury, his testimony would mean nothing to me.

KC Johnson, the brilliant Brooklyn College professor who has been all over Nifong on his blog for many months, posted yesterday that Congressman Walter B. Jones (R-NC) has called for a Justic Department investigation into the misconduct of Nifong.

Nifong is going down. The only question is, how hard.
