A private laboratory hired by the prosecution in the Duke lacrosse case failed to report that it found DNA from multiple males in the accuser's body and underwear, according to a defense motion filed today. The lab, DNA Security of Burlington, found that the DNA did not match the three defendants, their lacrosse teammates or anyone else who submitted their DNA to police, including the accuser's boyfriend.
The new evidence emerged in thousands of documents handed over to the defense in October.

Five men.
One of the complaints in the motion is that DNA Securities have test results for unidentified people. Wanna' bet that they are public figures?
It is unfathomable that Nifong tried to prevent the defense from seeing this evidence. This may be one of the worst case of prosecutorial misconduct.
But he robust business did not very often get DNA on press on nails. The contamination was from DNA on the nail.
So, has anyone got a hold of the first lab test?
And he knew it LAST April.
Before the primaries.
And before the indictments.
You may rest assured these young men (who didn't even stay for the stripper's lackluster performance) will have difficulty holding back their last meal whenever they must come in contact with a black female. They will never look at anything in life the same way. I make the suggestion from experience -- a Godly psychologist would be a wise investment, if there are sufficient funds. Years out, the nightmares will still wake them up in the night.

A. Never. Those accused don't have any protection by race, sex, sexual orientation, religion.
Now what would make a man like that toss his entire career away for something like convicting 4 young men he doesn't even know? Could it possibly be something.......political?

I would go one step further. Not only is it likely that public figures would be identified, it would also uncover the public figures who frequent the adult night clubs in Durham, and their involvement in that shady, nasty business. I wonder how much public tax money has been used to supplement the income of the Durham sex industry?

That roaring sound is Dr. Meehan's career going down the toilet. He'll never be able to testify in any case, short of a traffic ticket - ever.
The Defense Bar loves a good 'ho, but they have to have some, even a tiny bit of credibility. No legitimate law enforcement agency would ever retain him now.
Sounds like he wanted to take a bite of the big apple, as he was willing to 'work' with Nifong on the costs. Major clue, he knew what his value was and was willing to discount it?
This guy blew it.

The guys running the lab must be nuts to risk their business for $23,000. If not nuts, then they are malicious and I can see endless appeals of any case for which these dimwits have been "expert witnesses".
