Basically cause O'Reily shot himself in the foot yet again jumping right onto the Iraq Surrender Group bandwagon without bothering to actually read the report because that was the Junk Media propaganda line. He has a bad habit of trusting the Junk Media intellectually honesty. He should know better after the way he shot himself in the foot over the Swift Boat Vets and Rathergate. Now, yet again, he finds himself totally at odds with the vast bulk of his audience so he simply drops the issue.

Do you agree that the ISG is nothing but pure treason?

Very True, Johnnie. But, the Enemedia seems to be Depressed, Associated Press here.

Call President Bush a lame duck, a weakened leader, a disappointed president whose party lost control of Congress - and the decider when it comes to a new approach in Iraq. After all the studies and recommendations and talk, the president will call the shots.

Members of Congress can complain and investigate, yet there is little they can do to change Iraq policy short of cutting off funds. Regardless of Bush's diminished state, the ball is in his court. While Congress can declare war, the president, after all, is the one who moves troops.

Baker repeats that we're not going to win this war militarily. That, Mr. Baker, is because we won't fight the damn thing. Every batallion has an attorney with it. We can't go into mosques. We won't use our power, hence we lose it.

Baker: "We're not going to win this war militarily. We are only going to win politically."

[Therein lies the problem. Politicians/diplomats rush to try to get a political/diplomatic settlement BEFORE the military can win the actual war and force a surrender. Politicians do NOT want the enemy to have to surrender.]

You didn't really expect lawyers to read what the staffers were writing, did oyou? James Baker is busy taking money from Saudi Arabians; he's not going to step on anybody's toes.

Timmy now playing the Prez's words on Iran, trying to set up the split with Baker/Hamilton.

Hamilton repeats that Syria and Iran can be helpful by doing some things and not doing others. How do you solve problems with people unless you talk to them, asks Hamilton.

Timmy points out that the Prez authorized them to speak to reps of Iran and Syria. Repeats the nonsense that Iran helped with Afganistan so why not here. There are lots of answers to that, Mr. Baker.

Baker going on and on about what Syria must do. He's going into his whinny tone. I hope the Saudis are paying him well for being willing to make a fool of himself.

Probably prince Ali Ben Turki of the Saudi Royal family, you know our close allies in the WOT. Or are they?

Here is some stuff I ran across maybe most of you already are aware of but I wasn't.

Seems the royal family of Saudi Arabia has just put a stop to (or claimed they have) to some of the millions of dollars that have been funneled to Sunni radicals in Iraq.

The Royal family thought it might not look too good if it was discovered that open donations to terrorists were so common....

"Cash donation boxes, once prevalent in supermarkets and shopping malls, have been eliminated."

So now that Saudi shopping moms and dads won't be dropping those millions of spare bucks(huge boxes of US dollars have been driven into Iraq by drivers who are threatened with death if they refuse)into their local Publix or Safeway grocery maybe the terror types won't have enough money to buy any more of those Strela's used to knock down our planes.

Seems we had an F-16 that went down under mysterious circumstances Nov. 27 and some circles believe it was shot down by terror types using the Soviet made (of course) missile.
But don't worry because the Zaqat boxes have been removed from local stores so surely Saudi Sunnis won't be funding their Sunni brothers anymore.

It's here:

Scroll down to Saudi Citizens reportedly funding Sunni insurgents.
actually it was there yesterday and gone today. You might also try this at aol news--Saudis reportedly funding Iraqi Sunnis. At this link:

http://news.aol.com/topnews/articles/_a/saudis-repoprtedly-funding-iraqi-sunnis/n20061207154909990022

Can you imagine if we had wooden boxes in Wal-Mart grocery stores to fund terrorists in this country!! There might be just a little outrage, but evidently not in Saudi Arabia just shows you where their govt. really stands.
On both sides.
After all with $60 oil they can afford to play both sides.

I would agree with your assessment of O'Reilly, Johnnie. I think lately, he seems to be turning against Iraq war. He need to do the research by himself or replace his researcher, before jumping to conclusions. Still he needs to correct himself about Rathergate, swiftboat veterans, Carter & the list goes on.

I see we are of a like mind.

Just a thought: if the key is Baghdad, and the generals running the thing can't get it done, which they obviously haven't, why does the Prez not find the ones who can?

This was what I was thinking. Somehow out of hundreds of experts in the world on the Middle East, on Counter Insurgency, retired US Military offices, experts from the Middle East like Wald Phares (sp?), Historians, Economists, Arabist etc etc etc the US Junk Media cannot think of anything better to do Sunday in and Sunday out but spend MOST their time talking to the same dozen or so US Senators whose combined IQ is smaller then the average American's waist line.

God save the Republic.

I missed that one as I quickly scanned the rest of the shows

&&&&&

Not necessarily "missed it" as the schedule (or my computer's ability to access it) is quite unreliable. Because of the very late ending of both houses of Congress Friday night/Saturday morning I was not able to tape the replay of Rumsfeld's meeting that was on their schedule as of Friday night.

So I have been checking their schedule frequently in anticipation of taping it.
When I went to bed last night the program was posted for cspam2 at 3:40 this afternoon. When I double-checked this morning, the cspam2 schedule contains only about 5 events, and the Rumsfeld meeting has been moved to cspam1 at a different hour.
