Fox & Friends Just Lost ME (Vanity)
Me | 11/14/06 | Kieri

Posted on 11/14/2006 4:18:21 AM PST by Kieri

I've been a Fox News viewer from the very beginning, long before Fox & Friends was created. I remember when E.D. first appeared, filling in for Alison Costarini during the morning news. I've watched Steve, E.D., Brian faithfully all these years, and found them a wonderful break from the MSM's morning spew.

I will admit, I miss E.D., but I was willing to given Gretchen the benefit of the doubt at taking her place. Her performance has been lackluster and this morning she just sank the show for me.

How?

Gretchen Carlson went out of her way to correct Steve and Brian that the term "pro abortion" was actually "pro choice."

Nothing like spinning the ugly truth, is there, Gretchen?

I'm done with Fox and Friends. A show I trusted and enjoyed with my AM coffee isn't what it used to be -- TRUSTWORTHY.

I've been a FReeper since 1997 and have never posted a vanity, so I hope my fellow FReepers will understand. I think other Fox viewers should know what's happened to this staple of morning news, one we're finding we can depend on less and less.

"If I want to see chicken legs, I'll visit my local KFC."

Are you kidding? Gretchen's legs are like tree trunks! Giant Sequoias at that!

There's nothing to discuss. You heard something that you didn't like and now Fox is on your S**T list. It's just illogical and immature.

What's the deal with the women of that show? Are they forced to wear high skirts all the time?

If I want to see chicken legs, I'll visit my local KFC.

Try some slacks "FOREVER"!

"HIP HIP HOORAY" for you excalibur1701!

I am also fed up with this thigh and butt show and not only on FOX!

CNN stands for Clinton News Network - always has and I guess it always will.

Ok, liberals think that pro-lifers are just pro-birth. Perhaps it would be ok to call pro-lifers that. It's accurate for some. Some pro lifers are very pro war, pro capital punishment. They aren't opposed to the taking of life. They are opposed to abortion, not opposed to killing when necessary. However, pro-lifers self identify as pro-lifers, and pro-choicers, identify as pro-choice. This is not the 700 club, it's a news organization, which should refer to the group the way they self identify.

I can respect pro-lifers who are against the death penalty. I might not agree with them, but at least they're consistent, unlike pro-aborts who are against the death penalty.

The abortion debate can't even get past terminology without arguing. I'd agree, if the MSM (and Fox) could be consistent with the terms I'd be happy, but so far nobody has. When was the last time you heard "pro-life" used over "anti-abortion"? It doesn't happen. I'm not ruling out Fox completely because I usually don't pay attention. I wouldn't have this morning except for Gretchen's POINTED correction of Steve and Brian.

Sooner or later the SCOTUS is going to be asked to define what life is. It might not be a revisit of Roe v. Wade: cloning lawsuits might do it. I'm just afraid of what the court will look like when that case reaches the bench.

comments@foxnews.com I have already written. It is not a dump Gretchen movement. It is an educate Gretchen movement - words mean things. Pro-choice to me means that I have a choice. To the pro-abortion folks, pro-choice means only that you believe in abortion. She needs to be educated and the guys need to be defended. As I said, I have done this before and the particular commentator has emerged a much better host/hostess. The come from the liberal world to these jobs and tend to be a bit full of themselves. They need to know that their viewing audience is made up of thinking, intelligent people, not mind-numbed robots.

FoxNews really needs to hire people who have more than blond going for them.

I don't know if BOR and Paul Krugman are enemies or not. But he was on some show on Saturday or Sunday and the welcomed him as new contributer. They had made him shave his beard off. I did not recognize him until they said his name

Both Barbara Bush (the grandmother) and Laura Bush (the mother) have said that they don't know exactly how the abortion legislation should play out, but they DO believe in limiting the access to it. (In other words it shouldn't be used as birth control.)

Do you think they have said skeletons in their closets?

I'm highly skeptical.

I saw that. And I was like, 'what they hey'

Still, instead of threatening to boycott a great morning program, why don't you call, write, or email the heck out of her and the show.

Tell her where and why she's wrong.

After all, they are by far the most fair, and informative morning show in America today, barr none.

I think Fox is playing to the winners of the recent elections. They perceive that the majority of the country has moved to the far left and are singing to the masses IMHO. It appears to me a business decision rather than one of integrity and ethics.

I never watched Greta that much..I was one of the first to really watch and enjoy what was said..They had fair and balanced news but not now..I use to watch Hannety and Colms but it seems their regular Ann Colter is always on there..I am sorry but she just makes me want to turn the TV off..She is to loud..(I know everyone will jump me about that but oh well I like telling the truth)The woman needs to eat something she looks like a skeleton.. She is not a great writer..Most of her stuff can be found if you google the subject..You know TV puts ten pounds on you..so think about it.. It got to the point where I though it was the Ann Colter show..as for the other shows they have lost interest to me..So now I do house work and read books..Fiction.I get more news from Free Republic and better opinions from here..

Am I the only one who has noticed that FOX has been getting more and more like the rest of the MSM ever since little Sheppie threw his hissie during the Katrina thing.

Although many of the shows are still good (Hannity, O'Reilly sometimes, Cavuto etc)the news is more and more straight liberal propoganda.

Methinks perhaps old Murdoch was setting us up with the first years of FOX News to trust the same old garbage later (NOW!!)

If you watch the absolute shrill hysteria for "choice" on the part of some of these harpies, Kay Michelman comes to mind, you really have to suspect that in the back of their minds, they really think all women should get pregnant at least once and have an abortion, just to prove they can.

They really are "pro-abortion".
