There could still be a recount.
To: West Coast Conservative
Not much of a surprise, though I wondered if there would indeed be a recount at the end of the month after the votes were certified.

Sh*t. Did I read that title right?
Ugh..the election was November 7, the anniversary of the communist revolution, and the Democrats won. What a fitting coincindence...

I guess Cheney didn't want to be tied down in the Senate making tie-breaking votes. Can't much blame him.
To: Toby06
AP is reporting.....I guess they just decided to give it to Webb before the final votes are counted. Will Allen concede? Probably.

Typical of today's new stripped-down MSM, the AP article has a half dozen words, no numbers, no explanation, no date, no time.
This thread is meaningless. Might request deleting it.

Well....I am not surprised.
We have lost 2 of our best Senators..
Thank you to all of the Republicans that "punished" Bush over anything...

So the Dems get this with $2.08 cents a gallon gas, 4.4% unemployment, a great roaring economy, a war where no battle was yet lost and a sky high stock market.
Now, let's see what they do to that. Bookmark this post please...

Well, there goes the Supreme Court. Based on today's oral argument, it looks like Kennedy has totally gone over to the dark side (he appears ready to strike down the Partial Birth Abortion ban), so we've now got five total libs on the Court and four moderate conservatives. When Stevens croaks we're not going to be able to replace him with anyone good, so be prepared for years of liberal activism on the bench.

Webb won. Allen can choose to challenge the win. It's like in Florida in 2000. Bush won, Gore then challenged.
The official vote is done, Webb has more votes. It's Allen's turn to decide to challenge it or not.
