We do indeed live in interesting times.
I believe our resolve is about to be tested like it's never been tested before and I pray we're up for it.
The Democrats and the leftist media see this election as a mandate against the president and the war. They are about to pull out all the stops in their mission to totally demoralize the American people. If they succeed to the point we pull out of Iraq before the Iraqis are strong enough to defend themselves, I'm afraid it'll be the Killing Fields all over again. Only this time much much worse and much closer to home.
Praying we have the national resolve to resist the enemy within. Praying we maintain the will to continue the fight against the global jihadists. Our very right to survive as a nation and a free people depends on it.
Our president and our troops are going to need our prayers and support now more than ever.
God willing, America will survive!

I'm going to say an extra prayer for our troops tonight. Their job has just become twice as dangerous as it was before the election. They must feel tonight like the American people have deserted them. Once again, the U.S. military is going to have a victory stolen from them because of politics. Sad. God Bless Our Troops.

I believe that it is suicidal not to back Bush and the troops on the ground. While I do disagree with him stridently on other topics, there is simply no choice but to back him on the war and let it be known that we will prevail no matter how long it takes.
If the democrats do jump into this mix, conservatism will have been an utter failure if we do not muster the hundreds of thousands if not millions to the streets in support of the war and our troops.
To that end... onward.

This is a tough night Jim.
We'll continue our fight, but people had best realize that MSM still hold sway. MSM are not only biased, but also dishonest.

Why was the Wh's first comment on amnesty, rather than the WOT? Seems to me, we've been told what is first in Bush's heart.

I might add, I am very leary of how the Democrats are going to undercut Israel at every opportunity. I'm not looking forward to this.

If President Reagan were alive and well to speak to us, no doubt he would say so as well - and he would tell us to press on, never give in, never surrender, and do not give an inch to the Democrats.
If President Reagan were alive and well he would tell us not to speak ill of another Republican. But we aren't listening to that one and are ripping and clawing at each other even on this site.
That's got to stop. Because you regain power only when you get so fed up that you unite.

Conservatives need to see this as an opportunity, NOT a disaster. The Moderates ran our party and ran it on the rocks. OK, just like in 1976 and 1992 time for the Conservatives to take back their party.
To start with NEW Congress, NEW Leadership. Time for a hard charging no nonsense leadership in the US Senate and US House.
Time for the Republican Insurgency to teach the Democrats what a REAL quagmire looks like. They wanted it. They lied to the American people about their real agenda to get it. Let them enjoy their Phyrric victory in 2006.
They won most races by a few thousands votes. Let them go home in 2008 and try to defend their record of voting for Ms Nancy and Hillary Clinton's Big Socialist Agenda after running as Republican Lite in 2006.

Hang in there folks. We got a big black eye tonight, no way around it. But now we get to climb off the floor and deliver some whoop ass. Not for fun, not for revenge, but because we will have to pay for the errors of the lefties now, and the errors will be in blood. We don't want our kids and grandkids to pay like we did on 9/11. Buck up Freepers!

If he deserts us on immigration, we won't be there for him when the Rats move to impeach him. I was mad at Tony Snow's comments tonight. I suspect the President doesn't know he needs us more than we need him.

I think people have a will for a War on Terrorism but they were not convinced about the War in Iraq. They do not see those two as the same thing. The administration has not made a good case for the War in Iraq. (The nukes story was too little, too late.) The President is not an articulate spokesman. And when body bags keep coming home every month, and that drags on for a few years, and people are not convinced it's worth it. . . . All I'm saying is, that was the POLITICAL reality.
Add to that a lack of enthusiasm (voting reluctantly but not working for candidates) on the part of conservatives because of the spend-happy Democrat-Lite Republicans in D.C. Then factor in several candidates hurt by their own gaffes or scandals, and there goes Congress.
To: Jim Robinson
Perhaps I should just take a pill, and go lie down, but that will not change anything. I feel like the lights will be going out, all over the World, starting tomorrow. But, you will have at least a little while in which you can pretend, and make believe in things, like the "New Direction". Just where is it all going? Into the ditch, I am afraid.
