If true this is dumb. Allen should be stressing the positive re his positions, not rooting through Webb's novels - which are pretty damn good, actually - for laughable excerpts. Frontrunners don't need to do desperate crap like this.
I'm sorry Webb's chosen to go over to the dark side, but that doesn't negate his talents as a writer, which are considerable.

Writers have leeway to write about human character.Yes, they do. But even the most decrepit of us would never even think of writing of a father sexually abusing his son in such a graphic manner. Jesus, I can't even think about it, let alone write about it.

Reason #1,000 why he isn't presidential material.Keeping another pervert from taking a seat in the Senate is a noble national service.

You just don't like Allen.
I see no reason to try to convince you.

The division has always been there.
"My learned and esteemed colleague and opponent" was
always a lie.
Only now-- we have the internet and other New Media to widely expose this ugly reality. That is fortunate, a true blessing.
To: cdnerds
I saw the things he wrote on Brit Hume and Mark Levin was reading passages from some of the books... someone who writes what Mark read cannot have much or any respect for women.

Grow a pair. This "mud" you define is NOTHING compared to this history of politics in America.

I don't think he's presidential material either. But Webb did write that. So he's not exactly the right guy for the Senate...

Would make Clinton blush .... oh, I forgot, didn't he work for Clinton administration? Maybe that's where he got the material for his books.

True, there are organizations who run ads in favor or against candidates. With campaign finance reform the candidates may or may not know about the ads, and they don't have a lot of say, unless they declare they approve the ad. Or so I am told.
