If true this is dumb. Allen should be stressing the positive re his positions, not rooting through Webb's novels - which are pretty damn good, actually - for laughable excerpts. Frontrunners don't need to do desperate crap like this.

I can't comment on Webb's literary abilities, but it seems he uses sex primarily for shock value. He sticks to the bizarre.
