I just wanted to let you, and all the wonderful people on this forum that my mother considered her friends, Kattracks, passed away yesterday afternoon. She died peacfully, with her family at her bedside. If you knew my mother, you knew how concerned she was with the welfare of others. At one point in the afternoon, we were all gathered at her bed, reminiscing about her,the good times, and all the good things she had done for others. It was as if she had waited for this moment, when she knew that her loved ones were going to be alright, that she was able to let go, and pass into the care of God. To all that knew her, be rest assured that she is waching over you from Heaven. That is just the way my mother was. She always put the welfare of others ahead of her own.
Everytime my brother, father, or I would leave the house, my mothers last words to us was Be Careful. I asked her one day why she always said this to us. She explained to me that in that one phrase was wrapped up all the prayers, concerns, and love that she had for us, but to explain it all to us as we walked out the door would take too long, so she would just say Be careful. Im glad I asked her what she meant, because from that day on, and everytime she said it since then, I understood who, and what, my mother was.
Thank you all for your prayers and support for her.
Frankie

Original thread:
Kattracks has asked me to begin a prayer thread for her, the hardest thing I have ever been asked to do.
She has had a very frightening finding on a medical exam that is not confirmed and may be a false alarm, but which requires all of us to uplift her to Almighty God asking for His mercy to spare her life or to give her and us the strength and faith to walk the path He has chosen for her.
More information than that I am not at liberty to disclose.
Please ping everyone you know who can pray for kattracks, who was long a moderator on FR and now is the Fairy Godmother of the Merry Band of Patriots.
Rest in Peace Kattracks
Gosh, I miss seeing her wonderful post. Somehow, I think she is looking down upon us and thinking...Hey, people it’s not even comparable to this!
We met numerous times on the various FReeper functions that we crossed paths. May she rest in well deserved and earned peace.

May she find eternal peace. We will miss her.
Please convey my condolences to her family. She will be missed a lot here. She was one of FR’s “old-timers” like me.
Prayers and Godspeed to a wonderful Freeper and her family. She will be greatly missed by us all.
Kattracks is safely home. Rest in peace, my sister. Prayers up for the family.
My prayers are with her and her family and friends!
Again prayers for kattracks and her family. May God comfort them. It’s hard to believe. She will be missed.
Oh, my.. hadnt heard much for a long time from Patty & was thinking no news is good news.
That's what I thought.
I hope she’s in a good place.
Thanks for the ping.
I’ve been away for a while. Really sad to see this.
We’re at war
All the papers say
We will win
I read today
We are strong
It wasn’t us
We are right
Who started this
Leave your work
I just left school
Leave your home
I am no fool
Take up arms
It left me strong
Sound alarms
The school bell rings
Join up here
I wave good-bye
We need you
Oh my breast sighs
Have no fear
Now I must try
God will be
With braver men
Take the vow
I know it’s right
Praise the flag
The good fight
We’re at war
I’m on my way
We will win
Why do I pray
Sons of men who stand like gods
We give life to feed the cause
And run to ground our heathen foe
Our name will never die
This time will be forever
I wait here in this hole
Playing poker with my soul
I hold the rifle close to me
It lights the way to keep me free
If I die in a combat zone
Box me up and ship me home
If I die and still come home
Lay me where the rose is sown
Dear Lord,Embrace this Wonderful lady in Your White Light of Grace,Love, and Eternal Peace ,Thank you Lord Amen.
When my mom went to Heaven she too waited until we were all there. She kept telling someone to just wait five more minutes and when my daughter and husband finally arrived,my mom went home to heaven.I’m sure your mom and mine are going to be great friends in Heaven.
Bless you, K-tracks. You are one of the reasons I joined.
Thanks for remembering kattracks. She went almost two years ago, but I still miss her.
She was a comrade in sending care packages and I admired her so much. Wish she had been my mother as some incorrectly supposed, but her age was near mine and so she is more a sister in my heart.
in remembrance
